Analysis & Breakdown

Original Gangster
OG Anunoby is one win away from his second career NBA championship and he has been absolutely been playing his ass off. Anunoby scored 19 of his 33 points in the second half of Game 4, none more important than the game winning putback with one second left.
OG's averaging 23.8 points per game in the Finals, he's shooting 58% from the field and 55% from beyond the arc. Not only has he been one of the New York's best offensive players, but he's been incredible on defense.
Everyone remembers the game winner, but just a few seconds before that Anunoby had a game saving block on De'Aaron Fox that would have put the Spurs up 3 with just 5 seconds to go. Instead the Knicks got the ball back, called a timeout and the rest is history.
Jalen Brunson had 36 points in Game 4, he shot just under 50% from the field and he had Stephon Castle in foul trouble early. Brunson got to the line for 11 free throw attempts and even dished out a few assists (7).
The Knicks have a chance to win their first title in over 50 years tonight. They've been flawless in closeout games so far this postseason, but tonight they'll face their toughest test yet.
Miracle on Hardwood?
The San Antonio Spurs were up 29 points in Game 3. All signs were pointing toward this series coming back to San Antonio tied at two games a piece.
Instead, it's Game 5 and the Spurs are on the verge of losing an NBA Title on their own home floor. It's never a spot you want to be, on the brink of elimination in front of your home fans.
There is no way to describe the Spurs' Game 4 collapse. The team scored 76 points in the first half and went into the break with a 27-point lead. That's when everything fell apart.
San Antonio would score just 14 points in the the 3rd and just 30 total points in the second half. The Spurs shot 21% from the field in the second half and just 18% from outside. Despite terrible three point shooting, the Spurs just kept shooting.
Of the team's 39 field goal attempts in the second half, 17 came from the perimeter. The Spurs scored just 4 points in the paint in that second half and the ball just stopped going inside after the break.
San Antonio averages nearly 48 points per game in the paint and they just decided to move away from what's worked all year. Victor Wembanyama had 16 first half points but finished the game with just 24. He went 3/14 from the field after halftime and struggled to finish at the basket late in the 4th quarter.
The Spurs need everyone to be better tonight. Stephon Castle needs to defend without fouling, Wembanyama can't settle for threes and De'Aaron Fox needs be smarter with the ball in his hands.
Dylan Harper's the only Spur I can point to that has looked flawless,
Game 4 Best Bets

OG Anunoby o23.5 P/R (-110) | Lucky Rebel
Anunoby's just been so good during this postseason run for the Knicks, that I'm going right back.
His efficiency speaks volumes and he's been a consistent matchup problem for the Spurs. Anunoby's also grabbed 9 rebounds over his last two games and he's averaging just over 5 per game in the playoffs.
Anunoby is the Knicks 2nd leading scorer and he's been incredibly efficient while doing it. Not only has he been shooting over 50% in the Finals, but during this entire postseason run. He's shooting over 50% from the perimeter and he's been even better on the road.
On the road in these playoffs, OG is averaging 21.7 points per game, he's shooting 56% from the field and 50% from three. Anunoby's also cleared this line in all three closeout games the Knicks have played this year and that's the OG they'll need to close out the Spurs tonight.

Stephon Castle o27.5 PRA (-110) | Lucky Rebel
For the Spurs, I think the key is Stephon Castle. Castle played just 25 minutes in Game 4 due to early foul trouble and it lead to 36 points from the Knicks' Captain. He's been the Spurs best defender on the perimeter and he's holding Brunson to a true shooting percentage just over 40% when matched up.
Castle's biggest game in this series also happened to be the Spurs only win in this series. He's been fantastic here during his first postseason run and he's been San Antonio's second best player through the entire postseason.
Castle's averaging 18.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game in his first ever postseason and tonight he's set to play in the biggest game of his career. I've got faith in the kid.
