<p>The UFC is taking the momentum of a huge PPV card into a big fight night at UFC Qatar on Saturday. The 14 fight card is scheduled to kick off at 1o am eastern, a rare matinee fight card for US based MMA fans.</p>
<p>Being in the middle east, it is huge for the UFC that a Muslim fighter just won Welterweight gold at UFC 322. This should provide a lot more eyes onto an already exciting fight card in the Middle East.</p>
<p>There are massive implications on the line in both Co Main And Main Event bouts. With the winners seemingly asserting themselves as top contenders likely to get the next title shot.</p>

<p>A massive lightweight Main Event awaits MMA fans across the globe Saturday. Arman Tsarukyan will welcome Dan Hooker back to the octagon after a long hiatus.</p>
<p>A long hiatus is a theme in this fight, as Tsarukyan himself has not been in the Octagon since April of 2024. The long absence is partially due to pulling out of a lightweight title fight on fight week against Islam Makhchev in January of this year.</p>
<p>Tsarukyen was forced to pull out of the title fight just 2 days before the event due to a back injury suffered in training. The missed opportunity could prove costly to his future title aspirations.</p>
<p>Dan Hooker will be making his return to the octagon after almost a year off at no fault of his own. The violent striker broke his hand in preparation for a bout with Justin Gaethje in March of this year.</p>
<p>The match up will be a stark contrast in styles. Tsarukyen will be looking to get the wrestling going early while Hooker typically wants to cause a brawl and slug it out.</p>
<p>This fight is sure to be chaos, and have major title implications with the winner likely being awarded a title shot.</p>

<p>The UFC has out done themselves with the top of the card at UFC Qatar. The Co &#8211; Main Event will feature another match up with massive title implications for the winner.</p>
<p>Ian Machado Garry will welcome Belal Muhammed back to action in his first bout since losing the title. After a devastating loss to Jack Della Maddalena in May, the former champ may be a tad disgruntled for not receiving an immediate rematch.</p>
<p>The welterweight division moves faster then father time, and Muhammed is forced to take on rising contender Ian Machado Garry. MMA fans have seen how former champions fare in their first match up after the title, and it is not a pretty picture.</p>
<p>Ian Machado Garry is carrying all the momentum into this fight. The prospect is coming off a huge win over top prospect Carlos Prates and has asserted himself in prime position for a title shot.</p>
<p>With a solid win on Saturday, either fighter could throw their hat to the front of the line for a Welterweight title shot.</p>

<p>The winner of 2 straight, Alonzo Menifield is looking to continue his momentum with a big win in Qatar. A serviceable veteran stands in his path though, as Oezdemir has an incredible resume under his belt.</p>
<p>Oezdemir has fought the best of the best at Light Heavyweight and even coming off a loss, is the clear A side of the match up. Fans will be interested to see how Menifield will handle adversity in a tough match up against a violent striker in Oezdemir.</p>

<p>An interesting match up in the welterweight division goes down Saturday. Jack Hermansson will be making his return to the octagon in a new weight class as he will be making the move from middleweight at 37 years old.</p>
<p>Myktybek Orolbai will be the one to welcome him to the Welterweight division on home turf. A tough first match up for Hermansson as this will certainly be a grapple heavy affair.</p>
<p>Hermansson is a UFC veteran at this point with over 18 fights in the promotion. The weight class change at this point in his career is confusing for many, but he may just revive his career.</p>
<p>Orolbai suffered a tough loss in 2024 but has since bounced back with a win in June of this year. The home town fighter carries all the momentum in the match up as Hermansson is coming off a tough KO loss.</p>

<p>A violent Heavyweight match up will open up the Main Card at UFC Qatar. Shamiel Gaziev will take a big step up in competition by taking on Serghei Spivac in a 3 round bout Saturday.</p>
<p>Spivac has been on a tough run in the UFC as of late. The loser of  2 straight bouts, He is looking to snap his losing streak against a tough opponent.</p>
<p>The losing streak should come with context, as both of his losses have come against top contenders. The momentum of the match up will lie with Gaziev as he is on a 2 fight winning streak himself.</p>
<p>Gaziev bounced back from a tough loss to Rozenstruik with 2 dominant wins himself. Now taking a big step up in competition, MMA fans are excited to see how he will fare with the opportunity.</p>
