It’s hard to believe, but we’ve already arrived at Week 10 of the 2022 Canadian Football League season. The first portion of the CFL campaign has already been filled with excitement and fans are ready for more beginning today.

The action begins on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. ET when the Montreal Alouettes (2-6) take on the undefeated Winnipeg Blue Bombers (9-0). The Toronto Argonauts (4-3) then try to increase their East Division lead with a win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2-6) on Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET.

The BC Lions (6-1) and Calgary Stampeders (5-2) go head-to-head in Saturday’s first game at 7 p.m. ET before the Saskatchewan Roughriders (4-4) and Edmonton Elks (2-6) close out the week at 10 p.m. ET.

The Ottawa RedBlacks (1-7) find themselves as the only team with a bye week.

Here’s a look at FanDuel Sportsbook’s odds for the CFL Week 10 matchups, as well as a prediction for each game.

CFL Week 10 Predictions and Picks

Montreal Alouettes vs. Winnipeg Blue Bombers Betting Odds and Prediction

  • Spread: Montreal Alouettes +11.5 (-105), Winnipeg Blue Bombers -11.5 (-115)
  • Total: OVER 48.5 (-110), UNDER 48.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline: Montreal Alouettes +420, Winnipeg Blue Bombers -550

Odds are via FanDuel Sportsbook.

The first CFL matchup of Week 10 is actually a rematch from last week’s game played in Montreal. The Alouettes weren’t much of a threat at all to the Blue Bombers, losing 35-20 thanks to Winnipeg outscoring its opponent 21-6 in the fourth quarter alone.

Even though the Alouettes kept it close at times last game, there’s a reason why they only have two wins this season while the Blue Bombers are undefeated. Having said that, Winnipeg Zach Collaros must play better after completing only 15 of 26 passes last week for 210 passing yards and two touchdowns to three interceptions.

Nevertheless, don’t overthink it: expect the Blue Bombers to remain undefeated.

Prediction: Blue Bombers 33, Alouettes 22

Best Bet: Over 48.5 (-110)

Toronto Argonauts vs. Hamilton Tiger-Cats Betting Odds and Prediction

  • Spread: Toronto Argonauts +2 (-110), Hamilton Tiger-Cats -2 (-110)
  • Total: OVER 46.5 (-105), UNDER 46.5 (-115)
  • Moneyline: Toronto Argonauts +105, Hamilton Tiger-Cats -125

This matchup is also a rematch from Week 9 of the CFL season. The Argonauts were down 14-6 at halftime but managed to rally back for the 34-20 victory. It was an all-around great performance helped by linebacker Wynton McManis, who had 10 tackles and a forced fumble to help Toronto win its third game in its last four tries.

Meanwhile, the Tiger-Cats must replicate whatever was working to give them an early lead last week. The pass-rush definitely needs to apply more pressure on QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson, who was sacked three times last week.

Keeping that in mind, the Argos are on a roll and I can see that continuing with a victory over their rivals.

Prediction: Argonauts 27, Tiger-Cats 24

Best Bet: Argonauts ML (+105)

BC Lions vs. Calgary Stampeders Betting Odds and Prediction

  • Spread: BC Lions -2 (-110), Calgary Stampeders +2 (-110)
  • Total: OVER 53 (-110), UNDER 53 (-110)
  • Moneyline: BC Lions -125, Calgary Stampeders +105

This week’s Lions vs. Stampeders game has the potential to be the CFL game of the week. With the way both teams have been playing, things could end in a shootout due to BC averaging 36.3 points per game while Calgary averages 29.4 — the top two rates in the league.

It’s hard not to like the Lions after they’ve won three games in a row, including a massive 46-14 win over the Elks last week. Yes, the Stampeders also won last week, albeit against the RedBlacks. Calgary’s passing game was atrocious, though, putting up only 137 yards on a 48.1% completion rate.

This should be a really fun game for fans, but I’m siding with the Lions here. However, the over is the best bet here due to the shootout potential.

Prediction: Lions 37, Stampeders 28

Best Bet: Over 53 (-110)

Saskatchewan Roughriders vs. Edmonton Elks Betting Odds and Prediction

  • Spread: Saskatchewan Roughriders -5.5 (-110), Edmonton Elks -5.5 (-110)
  • Total: OVER 48.5 (-110), UNDER 48.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline: Saskatchewan Roughriders -220, Edmonton Elks +180

The Roughriders are back in action after being on bye last week. We last saw them lose to the Lions, 32-17, in Week 8, marking the team’s third straight loss. Fortunately, Saturday’s game offers Saskatchewan a great opportunity to bounce back, especially after the Roughriders already beat the Elks, 26-16, back in Week 2.

The Elks’ biggest challenge is going to be to stop the Roughriders’ offense, which averages 25 PPG. Edmonton is surrendering CFL-worst 36.3 PPG and just gave up 46 points to the Lions last week. Unless they look like a completely different team, I wouldn’t put much stock into the Elks.

Prediction: Roughriders 30, Elks 13

Best Bet: Roughriders -5.5 (-110)
