One of the biggest boxing events of the year is set to take place tonight with Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua. Both fighters weighed in yesterday successfully and the match was made official.
Jake Paul weighed in at 216 lbs while the true heavyweight Joshua came in at 243 lbs, 2 lbs under the contracted limit of 245. While the weight does not seem much different, the size shows in the faceoffs.
The British star will have just about 30 lbs and 6 inches of heigh over Paul tonight. In the lead up to the fight it has shown that Paul is up against all odds here.
The promotions have also done a great job promoting the fight on just a months notice. Many Boxing fans across the globe are highly anxious to see Jake Paul finally fight someone his own age, and of higher skill level.

Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua Analysis – Heavyweight

The Heavyweight Bout Sure To Bring Fireworks
Anthony Joshua is stepping in for Gervonta Davis to fight Jake Paul in a professional Boxing Bout tonight. The bout was made on just about 1 months notice, giving each fighter a short timeline to prepare.
It remains to be seen if Joshua will even need that much time to prepare. The former Champion has fought some of the best Boxing has to offer on his way to claiming 3 separate belts.
Joshua is a massive human standing at over 6'6 and weighing in at 253 lbs for this bout. He will have a significant height & weight advantage over Paul, who is just 6 '1 typically fighting at 195 lbs.
The British veteran will also have a massive experience edge in the match up with over 32 Pro bouts compared to Paul's 13. Not only does the amount of bouts matter, the type of opponents Joshua has faced through out his career speak volumes.
In massive match ups Joshua has been in the ring with legendary names such as Usyk, Klitschko, Ruiz Jr, & Dubois. True professional boxers with years of tested experience and several championships between them.
Will Joshua Get Back In The Win Column?
Joshua has wins over several of those names proving he is one of the best heavyweights in the world. To make matters worse for Paul, Joshua is coming into this match up fresh off a tough KO loss.
A motivated Joshua looking to get back in the win column is what fight fans expect Friday night. Anthony Joshua is a very technical boxer but is not shy about walking his opponents down throwing with big power.
In his most recent win, he walked down feared MMA fighter Francis Ngannou knocking him out in under 2 rounds. The veteran showed no mercy to Ngannou despite the size of the match up and skill gap.
There is no reason to think this fight will be fixed and Joshua will carry Jake Paul to the finish line. I believe Joshua has all the skills and violent mindset to do what many fight fans have been waiting for, knock out Jake Paul.
Will Jake Paul Finally Get Knocked Out ?

Paul Taking A Massive Step Up In Competition
Many boxing fans across the globe consider the Jake Paul experience to be somewhat of a clown show. With consideration to some of the names Jake Paul has stepped in the ring with, it is hard to argue that sentiment.
Previous match ups with Tommy Fury, 58 year old Mike Tyson , and other retired UFC fighters have not done much for his reputation. Even in wins over most of those opponents, many fans have still walked away thinking he is not a great boxing prospect and that his bouts must be fixed in some way.
Paul is taking a massive step up in competition tonight though. Seemingly, he is trying to further prove he is a legit Boxing prospect and belongs in the ring with the best in the world.
It remains to be seen if taking on Joshua at a disadvantage is the best idea to accomplish that goal. Paul has almost every disadvantage a fighter can have against his opponent and has become a real David vs Goliath style match up.
Will Paul Prove He Belongs?
There is one glimmer of hope for the Paul side, the ring size was agreed at 22 x 22 which is bigger then standard. The large ring will allow Paul to use his footwork to dance around Joshua for 10 rounds.
Due to the large ring, I believe it will take longer for any real power punching exchange to take place. If Paul has any hope to win it will rely on his ability to touch Joshua & run away so Joshua does not land a big counter.
Unfortunately, a game plan of that nature requires a lot of cardio that I do not believe Jake has in the tank. I believe it may take a while due to Paul's hugging antics and the ring size , but eventually Anthony Joshua will find the Knockout blow.
