We're back with another "Grocery Spot" pick. Although the Aces didn't cover against the Sky, we're running the system play again today.
If you're not familiar, a "Grocery Spot" refers to a situation where a team returns home after a road trip of three or more games. Typically, these teams are sluggish and worn out from being on the road. This season, teams in grocery spots are 10-7 against the spread. Today, the Storm find themselves in this spot, so we're backing the Mystics.

Seattle's recent road trip was particularly grueling. They traveled to Atlanta, then Indianapolis, and ended in Washington—quite a long east coast journey. Given the extensive travel, I expect them to come out sluggish to start the game. Despite being a championship-contending team that could pose problems for Washington, the fatigue should impact their performance.
While Washington hasn't been stellar this season, they are a gritty team worth considering. After the break, they faced the Lynx twice, losing by double digits each time. However, they bounced back with strong performances at home, covering against Seattle and securing a win over the Sparks.
I don't expect the Mystics to win outright, but I do believe they will keep the game close. With the line being too high, I'm happy to back the underdog here.
Prediction: Storm win
