Las Vegas Aces Dallas Wings WNBA odds prediction picks 7/30/23

Earlier this month, the Dallas Wings handed the Las Vegas Aces just the second loss of their season. This evening, the best team in the WNBA will look to avenge that loss as the two teams meet at Michelob Ultra Arena (6:00 pm ET, CBS Sports Network).

Since squandering a double-digit lead in the second half in an 80-78 loss at Dallas on July 7, the Aces (22-2, 11-0 home) have reeled off six straight wins. Entering today’s play, the reigning WNBA champions are four games ahead of the New York Liberty and Connecticut Sun for the best record in the league.

Behind the Aces, Liberty, and Sun sit the Wings (14-10, 5-7 away), who have won six of their last seven games.

Few teams have played the Aces as close as the Wings have in both matchups this season. Will we see more of the same in today’s matchup?

Can the Wings Fly High against the Aces Again?

Dallas Wings WNBA

Whether it’s in the WNBA, NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, or any other team sport, even the best teams have at least an opponent or two that give them more fits than anyone else no matter when or where.

For the Aces, that team appears to be the Wings. They have played five times since the start of the 2022 season, three times at Dallas and twice at Las Vegas. The Wings have won twice at home and lost the other matchup by eight, while the Aces have won by six and seven at home.

When they met at Michelob Ultra Arena on July 5, Dallas led by nine at halftime and by ten with 3:16 left in the third quarter. From there, the switch flipped for the Aces, who outscored the Wings 34-17 the rest of the way.

With how things panned out in Vegas, it was not a major surprise that the Wings were able to pull the upset two days later at the College Park Center in Arlington.

Will we see another close contest today? If the Wings can manage it, it will be a serious feat. The Aces have won their last 16 regular season home games since a 92-76 loss to the Atlanta Dream over a year ago, and of those 16 consecutive wins, 13 have been by 10+ points.

Also, since an 82-80 loss at Dallas late last season, Las Vegas has won 26 of 28 regular season games. Of those 26 wins, 17 have come by 11 or more points, including each win of their current six-game win streak.

What happened when the Aces had a rematch against the only other team to beat them this season? On July 1, they avenged a 94-77 loss at Connecticut on June 8 by pummeling the Sun 102-84 at Michelob Ultra Arena. Will the Wings meet the same fate today?

Dallas Wings vs Las Vegas Aces Prediction and Picks

Wings vs Aces Picks: Aces -11 (-110 at Bovada) & Aces team total over 92.5 points (-105 at Bovada)

The Wings have shown that they can hang with the Aces both home and away, but the champs will be in no mood to let Dallas hang around in this matchup.

After needing to come back from a double-digit deficit in the last meeting in Vegas and then squandering a double-digit lead in the road loss, the Aces know that they can’t expect an easy game against the Wings. Look for them to make it seven straight wins by at least 12 points.

Also, if you are looking for a little player prop betting action, Wings center Teaira McCowan is -115 at Bovada to go over 8.5 rebounds. McCowan had 11 rebounds in the loss at Michelob Ultra Arena and a dozen rebounds in the win in Arlington.

Also, she is -110 to score 15+ points for the third straight game and fifth time in six games after tallying 21 against the Sun on Tuesday and 18 against the Washington Mystics on Friday.

Where to Bet on the WNBA

The Dream vs Liberty betting odds mentioned in this article came from Bovada, but they aren’t the only sports betting site out there offering WNBA odds.

There are a number of online sportsbooks that are good for betting on the WNBA, but the above books are four that we highly recommend.
