The UEFA Champions League returns today with nine matches all across Europe. We have just a few remaining games in the league phase of this competition, and the table is shaping up nicely! Teams are left with a few weeks to move up and down, so we should have some very exciting matches. Let's dive into our best bets for the UEFA Champions League today!
Remember, following 8 games of league phase, teams will need to be in the Top 24 of the table to avoid elimination. The Top 8 will receive a bye week, while teams ranked 9th through 16th, will be randomly drawn to face a team ranked 17th-24th in a two leg knockout round matchup. But let's get into the matter at hand.

Can Leverkusen beat Inter Milan at home?

Once again, we are betting for no fun in a soccer match. With these two teams, factoring in what's at stake, I see a stalemate on the pitch today.
Both of these squads are comfortably into the next round of this competition. Inter Milan is alone in 2nd place on the table with 4 wins and a draw, totaling 13 points. Leverkusen are right behind them with 10 points in 6th on the table. Both of these teams are more than happy playing to a draw, and gaining a singular point. And I think that's exactly what will happen.
Inter Milan's back line is in incredible form. They've conceded just two goals over their last 8 matches, shutting out Arsenal and RB Leipzig in the process. Sure, they have their hands full today on the road, but I see them coming incredibly focused on the defensive end, not even thinking about scoring a goal.
As for the hosts, of course I expect them to be a little more aggressive offensively, but they have shutout RB Salzburg and Bayern Munich in their last four matches. Knowing who is coming to town, I full expect Leverkusen to respect their visitors, trying to sneak in a late winner after pitching a shutout.

This one is not pretty, so let me explain. For starters, RB Leipzig are 0-5 in the UCL this year. They are in 34th of 36 teams, and need to miraculously jump to 24th in the next three matches in order to advance to the next stage of the competition. Point being, NOBODY on the slate today needs a win for than this team.
They've been playing better recently, pitching back to back shutout wins in their last two matches, including playing Inter Milan tough on the road. I trust this team to come focused today against an Aston Villa team whose offense forgets to travel with the team!
Aston Villa have lost four straight road matches, three of them in shutout fashion. They were beat 3-nil by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, lost 2-0 to Liverpool at Anfield, were defeated by Club Brugge 1-nil last time out in the UCL, and then lost 4-1 to Tottenham. So in their last four on the road, Villa is not only 0-4, but they are being outscored 10-1 in the process.
Today they face a very frisky Leipzig team, that is much better than their UCL record portrays. For plus money on the draw no bet line, I'll back the home team to come fired up for this match and continue their solid form on the pitch.
