Major League Soccer: Saturday's Predictions July 12
Orlando City vs. CF Montreal: MLS Picks
Orlando City takes on Montreal tonight at home
Best Bet: Orlando City -1.5 (+108) BetOnline
Back the hosts to win big tonight. These teams already played to a scoreless draw up north way back in April, and now this team from Florida is ready to take down an opponent at the bottom of the conference. Orlando have lost two straight at home but they are still netting two goals per game over their last four.
Over the course of the season, Orlando City are scoring 1.86 goals per match, while Montreal is allowing opponents closer to 1.90 per contest. While Orlando City's defense is middle of the pack, Montreal's offense is nothing to worry about.
The Canadien side have netted just 18 goals this year, totaling 0.86 per match, posting a league worst -22 goal differential. Orlando City should come prepared to give their home town fans something to cheer about for the first time in a few appearances at home.
Prediction: Orlando City Wins 3-0 (+875)
Seattle Sounders vs. Sporting KC: MLS Picks
The Sounders are in Kansas City taking on Sporting KC tonight
Best Bet: Seattle Sounders ML (+110) BetOnline
The Sounders are the better team here. They are unbeaten in two matches since playing in the FIFA Club World Cup, and they've done well on the road against inferior teams.
Sporting KC is coming off a road win, but I have little faith in this organization. They are allowing pretty close to two goals per match so far this season, and while their offense has been producing, I trust Seattle's back line to hold strong against an offense that really isn't that great. Sporting have benefitted from their opponents refusing to show up or give their best effort, but Seattle won't do that tonight.
The Sounders know how valuable points are in this Western Conference. They sit just three points behind Portland, and one point ahead of LAFC in the current standings. Picking up three points tonight would be crucial for propelling themselves up the table for the back half of the season.
Give me Seattle to win a tough one on the road.
Prediction: Seattle Wins 2-1 (+700)
