We see an MLS takeover in the Leagues Cup Semifinals as all four teams from the American league won their quarterfinal matchups. Clubs from Liga MX put up a valiant effort, but it wasn't enough to advance, thus the Leagues Cup trophy will be staying with the MLS this season. We have four teams from each coast representing the finalists in this tournament so we are in for an exciting night of soccer. First up, Inter Miami and Orlando City battle in the Sunshine State, while later this evening we have the Los Angeles Galaxy hosting the Seattle Sounders. Let's dive in to our favorite picks.

Marco Reus and the Galaxy have a tough opponent in the Leagues Cup Semifinals
The LA Galaxy get to play host tonight, and that is a huge advantage considering how good Seattle is at Lumen Field. Regardless, the Sounders are still favored in this match on the road.
Seattle absolutely dominated all three of their matches in Phase One of the Leagues Cup. They opened things up beating Cruz Azul by a score of 7-0, and then went on to beat Santos and Club Tijuana, 2-1 in each contest. In the quarterfinals, they played to a scoreless draw against Puebla, and were able to advance after a thrilling penalty kick shootout. They are also coming off thumping Sporting KC at home, winning 5-2.
As for the Galaxy, they sit at the bottom of the Western Conference in the MLS this season, so this tournament might be their only shot at hardware. They beat Club Tijuana 5-2 and Santos 4-0, but lost to Cruz Azul in a PK shootout. But it was still enough to advance. The Galaxy faced Pachuca in the quarterfinals, beating them 2-1 while conceding on the final kick of the match.
They are coming off a 3-0 home shutout of the Colorado Rapids, but have faced this Seattle team recently. Let's breakdown tonight's matchup.

Daniel Musovski will not be on the pitch tonight for Seattle
As stated above, these teams met recently, on the same field they take tonight. Seattle absolutely mauled their host, winning 4-0 and leading 2-0 at halftime. They outshot the Galaxy 23-8 overall, and 8-3 on target while winning the corner kick battle 6-2 as well. That match was just 17 short days ago.
Have things really changed much since then?
Well, for the Sounders, they will be without midfielder Daniel Musovski, who received a red card in their quarterfinal match. Musovski is Seattle's leading scorer in league play with 13 goals in 24 matches. His presence will certainly be missed, as he scored twice in their dominant victory over LA earlier in the month, and had a hat trick in their most recent victory.
But will his absence be enough for the hosts to break through to the Leagues Cup Final?

Back the Sounders on the road tonight in the Leagues Cup Semifinals
Best Bet: Seattle Sounders +0.25 (+105) Bovada
Alright, here me out. If you have more faith than I do, you can put your full unit on Seattle ML at (+128). While I think they get the job done in 90 minutes on the road, I am a bit worried about their offensive production without Musovski.
While we still need them to win in order to profit, we will only lose a half unit if they are tied after 90 minutes. While this "lose and push" or "win-win" scenario isn't as appealing for +105, I don't quite have the confidence in the Sounders to lose a full unit on the ML.
Again, I think they get the job done, as you'll see with my correct score prediction, but I don't see the need to unload. Especially considering the Galaxy really have nothing to lose. Seattle may be more focused on saving their legs for an MLS playoff push, while this tournament is LA's only shot at a trophy this year.
However, Seattle is still the better team in my eyes, and I do think they pull this out in regulation.
An Inter Miami vs. LA Galaxy Leagues Cup Final would be full of international stars, and yes, my tinfoil hat is on when betting their matchup against Orlando City. However, Seattle has been on an incredible run, and I do not see it slowing down, especially with the MLS playoffs on the horizon.
Prediction: Seattle Sounders Win 2-1 (+800)
