Yesterday was a frustrating one, as we finished 0-2 with our article plays.

We got the Brighton double chance correct, but Manchester City couldn't find a goal to cash our BTTS combination.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa missed a penalty before finally finding the back of the net just before halftime. Unfortunately, they couldn't grab another goal in the second half, costing us our team total play.

Two frustrating losses, but that's how it goes sometimes.

However, it's a new day, and we have an absolutely massive Premier League matchup ahead of us!

Arsenal travel to Anfield to face Liverpool, with an opportunity to capitalize on Manchester City's dropped points yesterday.

I've found two plays I really like in this matchup, including a player prop at a great price.

Let's get into it!

Liverpool vs. Arsenal

It doesn't get much bigger than Liverpool against Arsenal at Anfield.

I'll start by acknowledging something that certainly isn't encouraging for Arsenal supporters.

The Gunners haven't won at Anfield in over a decade.

However, there aren't many clubs that consistently find success at this stadium.

Anfield remains one of the toughest places to play in European football, especially in matches of this magnitude.

That said, I actually think Arsenal have some significant advantages heading into today's matchup.

For me, the Gunners have the edge in midfield, defense, and goalkeeping.

Those are three extremely important areas when facing a Liverpool side with this much attacking talent.

Additionally, Arsenal could receive a couple of important boosts to their lineup.

Riccardo Calafiori is expected to be available and start at left back. Meanwhile, there's also a chance Noni Madueke could return on the wing.

Both would be welcome additions for Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal have been dealing with injuries and inconsistent performances from several attacking players.

Unfortunately, Bukayo Saka and Tzolis are still expected to miss today's match.

That leaves Arsenal needing more production from the players they do have available.

One player I'm particularly focused on is Kai Havertz.

Arsenal's strikers have struggled in recent matches, and Havertz hasn't looked like the player we saw earlier this season.

However, if he can rediscover that form, I really like Arsenal's chances of getting a result today.

The biggest challenge, of course, will be slowing down Liverpool's attack.

Alexander Isak has been outstanding recently, scoring in three consecutive matches.

He's entering this fixture full of confidence and will certainly test Arsenal's back line.

Additionally, Liverpool have plenty of attacking quality with Bradley Barcola, Cody Gakpo, and Florian Wirtz.

That's a dangerous group capable of creating opportunities against just about anyone.

However, if there's one defense in Europe capable of slowing them down, I believe it's Arsenal.

The Gunners currently have the best defense in the Premier League.

More importantly, they've allowed at least 1.5 expected goals in just one match this season.

That's an impressive level of defensive consistency.

Arsenal rarely allow opponents to create quality chances, and their organization has been outstanding.

Of course, defending Liverpool at Anfield is a completely different challenge.

However, I trust Arteta to have his team prepared for this matchup.

We've also seen how Arsenal approach these massive fixtures against top opposition.

Rather than playing an open, aggressive match, Arteta often prioritizes defensive organization and limiting mistakes.

His approach tends to be much more cautious against elite opponents.

And honestly, I expect more of the same today.

Arsenal know how dangerous Liverpool can be in transition, especially with the attacking players they have available.

Because of that, I don't expect the Gunners to take unnecessary risks.

Instead, I think we'll see a slower, more tactical match with both teams carefully choosing when to attack.

Additionally, Manchester City's defeat yesterday gives Arsenal even more motivation heading into this fixture.

The Gunners now have an opportunity to capitalize on City's dropped points and climb back to the top of the table.

That's a massive incentive, and I expect Arsenal to be completely locked in from the opening whistle.

However, I don't think that means they'll abandon their disciplined approach.

Arteta knows how important it is to get a result at Anfield, and I expect Arsenal to prioritize control over unnecessary risks.

Interestingly, the two meetings between these clubs last season produced just one goal combined.

That lone goal came from a direct free kick by Dominik Szoboszlai at Anfield.

Additionally, Szoboszlai won't be available for today's matchup.

While previous results don't guarantee another low-scoring affair, they reinforce how tightly contested these games can be.

Ultimately, I think Arsenal have the defensive quality to limit Liverpool's opportunities.

Meanwhile, their advantage in midfield should allow them to control stretches of possession and relieve pressure.

I wouldn't be surprised if this finishes 1-1 or Arsenal find a way to steal a 1-0 victory.

However, I don't see this turning into a wide-open, high-scoring match.

That's why I'm combining Arsenal Double Chance with Under 3.5 Goals.

We cash if Arsenal win or draw, provided the match finishes with three goals or fewer.

At -110, I really like that combination.

Play: Arsenal Double Chance + Under 3.5 Goals (-110)

Arsenal Need Martin Ødegaard Today

My second play focuses on the player I believe could be Arsenal's most important attacking piece today.

Martin Ødegaard.

With Arsenal missing key players and their strikers struggling for form, someone needs to step up offensively.

And for me, Ødegaard is the player most capable of making that happen.

He's been extremely important to Arsenal's attacking production this season, and his underlying numbers back that up.

Ødegaard ranks inside the team's top five in goals per 90 minutes.

Additionally, he's top three in expected goals and top four in expected goals per 90.

Those numbers show that he's not just creating opportunities for teammates.

He's also getting himself into dangerous positions to score.

However, it's his creativity that really stands out.

Ødegaard leads Arsenal with 2.10 chances created per match.

He's also tied for the team lead with three big chances created.

That's exactly the type of production I want when targeting a player to score or assist.

More importantly, Arsenal will need that creativity against a Liverpool side that won't give them many easy opportunities.

I expect Ødegaard to play a major role in connecting the midfield with Arsenal's attack.

His ability to find space between the lines and deliver the final pass could be crucial.

Additionally, he's capable of arriving in dangerous areas himself and getting shots away.

That gives us multiple ways to cash this prop.

Of course, Arsenal may not create a ton of chances in a matchup like this.

However, I believe Ødegaard will be involved in a significant portion of the opportunities they do generate.

And with Arsenal potentially missing several important attacking players, his responsibility becomes even greater.

Ultimately, if the Gunners find the back of the net today, I think there's a strong chance Ødegaard plays a direct role.

At +170, that's a price I'm more than willing to take.

Give me Arsenal's captain to step up in one of their biggest matches of the season!

Play: Martin Ødegaard To Score or Assist (+170)
