Soccer is back today across the pond as the English Premier League kicks off it's 2024-2025 season. We get a stand alone match today before it all breaks loose tomorrow, but of course we need to honor out EPL defending champions and let them host the opening contest. Today, we break down Liverpool hosting AFC Bournemouth as the soccer season officially gets things started.

Liverpool is set to defend their EPL title after dominating last season. And quite frankly, they just got better. They already had the league leader in goals and assists (Mo Salah), but also added Bayer Leverkusen winger Florian Wirtz to help him out, and it's already working. Wirtz had an assist in his first match with Liverpool, and that's just the beginning. Those two could be a deadly attacking pair for back lines in this league.
As for AFC Bournemouth, they finished in the top 10 last season, but I don't think it's sustainable. There is going to be a steep divide between the contenders and pretenders in the EPL this season. The top four of this league are going to be so much better than the rest, and based on the betting odds, Bournemouth will likely be back down towards the bottom of the table.

Nobody wants to pay -340 for Liverpool to win this match, and I'm also not willing to pay -118 to see them do so by two goals. So we're going to have to get a little more creative if we want to bet this match, and I think I've got the solution with a same game parlay.
Although there is plenty of excitement for the matches on tomorrow's slate, all the soccer eyeballs will be on this one, as they have been yearning for months for some European football action. The long offseason is over across the pond, and fans and players alike are ready to bring everything they've got to these matches.

Liverpool simply got better, and they are looking to defend their title. That starts with three easy points today at home, that I seem them collecting in a dominating shutout.
