The UEFA Champions League makes it's long awaited return after several weeks off. We are through six matches of League Phase, with only two more chances for teams to move into a qualifying spot for the next round. There are nine contests slated for tomorrow and nine on Wednesday, but the clear match of the week happens in Italy on Tuesday. Inter Milan sit at No. 6 on the UCL table as they face Arsenal, who are undefeated and alone at the top of the table. Can the hosts pull off this upset? It's no secret as to why these teams have been dominating, their back lines are insanely good. Arsenal has allowed just one goal throughout their six UCL matches, while Inter Milan is right behind them allowing just four total. These are the only two teams giving up less than a goal per match in this competition, but the same is happening in their domestic leagues as well.
Arsenal are alone on top of the English Premier League table, having allowed just 14 goals in their 22 matches, averaging just 0.64 goals allowed per game. Inter Milan is having a dominant Serie A season as well, conceding just 17 goals in 21 league matches. But facing another back line of this caliber is something they don't have to do very often.

These seems like "too easy" of a bet, but here's why I'm taking it. For starters, the total is insanely low, as the books want you to pay -136 for under 2.5 goals, with the listed total at 2.25 priced at around -103 for the under. Both would be good bets in my eyes, as I see this ended 1-0 either way at most. Here's why.
Defense Wins Championships
I doubt Arsenal is overly aggressive. A single point keeps them ahead of Bayern Munich going into their final match. They almost have a guaranteed win (famous last words) next week as they host Kairat Almaty, so a draw on the road against Inter Milan all but certifies them at the top of the table. Munich hosts Union St.-Gilloise on Wednesday, but has to travel to face PSV next week. The Gunners will make sure the best back line in the entire world is primed and ready to shutout this Inter team at home.
As for Inter, while I see them having to be aggressive at home, I'm not sure they can break through. Points are crucial for Inter Milan, as they are tied with three other clubs at 12 points a piece, with those teams ranking sixth through ninth on the table. Finishing in the top eight is crucial, as those teams automatically head to the Round of 16 bracket. They currently hold the tiebreaker over those other squads thanks to goal differential, so the last thing they want to do is come up empty handed at home or lose by more than one.
I could see this being a scoreless draw, but if Inter Milan finds the back of the net first, expect them to completely park the bus, trying their best to hold onto their three points. If the Gunners break through, I also see them tightening the back line, knowing a single goal should be all it takes to win this game. Yes, a 1-1 draw would spoil our bet and cash the under, but I do not see both teams finding the back of the net.
