Through 14 UCL matches this year, Arsenal did not lose a single time. They won all eight League Phase matches, drew three times during the knockout rounds, but eventually prevailed for an incredible 11-3-0 record throughout the tournament. During that stretch, they netted 29 goals of their own, and conceded just six, scoring on average 2.07 per match while allowing less than half a goal per match. The defense has clearly been doing the heavy lifting.

As for PSG, they have played 16 matches as they made their way through the knockout round into the bracket. PSG posted a 10-4-2 throughout the competition, netting 44 goals while allowing 22 from their opponents. For all you math people, PSG is netting roughly 2.75 goals per match, while allowing 1.38.

Both teams play very different styles of soccer, and it will very interesting to see them clash on Saturday.

For my official predictions in this match, tune in to my show every weekday on the Betting News Network, or come back to the website on Friday. This Gunners team has slowly worked their way back to the pinnacle of European soccer. After more than two decades without a league title, they finally won the EPL this season. The past three years, they have made the UCL Quarterfinals, and then the UCL Semifinals, and now have reached the title match for the first time since 2006. They have never won the UCL, but are just 90 minutes away from doing so.

Paris Saint-Germain had not won the UCL prior to last season. They were the runner-ups in 2020, but finally got over the hump last season in dominating fashion. But does playing in Ligue 1 prepare for them for this kind of opponent? Their results say yes.

We know PSG loves to play fearless, attacking soccer, daring their opponents to keep up with them offensively. Arsenal is the opposite. They will bore you to death on the pitch, playing slow, controlling possession, and try to strike when you least expect it. Prior to last season, we had seen six straight UCL Finals stay under 2.5, with the loser being shutout in all of those matches. PSG ruined that trend by beating Inter Milan 5-0. I had a lot of faith in the Italian defense to hold strong, and they did not.

My mind is definitely gravitating towards the under in this match, or possible both teams to score no at plus money, but we will continue to dissect and see what we come up with before the weekend.
