EPL Weekend Preview: Predictions, Odds & Best Bets

The English Premier League is back for its 5th week, and we got a packed weekend. Nothing like waking up to soccer and bets to sweat first thing!

We have some good matchups as well. Aston Villa will host Crystal Palace and Brighton will travel to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United.

There are 3 games were going to go into that I like, and they involve the 3 top teams in the league. League leader Manchester City will take on West ham, Liverpool will play Wolverhampton and Tottenham will host Sheffield United.

All 3 of these games have great spots for us to make some coin. We should see good amounts of offense from all 3 games, so we'll be looking at player props. Here is the rest of the schedule:

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Liverpool Prediction, Odds & Best Bet

Prediction & Pick: Liverpool ML + Mo Salah ATG (+115)

We start with the first game of the Saturday slate. Liverpool is off to a great start this year with a record of 3-1-0. They are tied for 2nd in the league with Tottenham.

They're coming off a strong win vs Aston Villa 3-0 two weeks ago. Mo Salah scored in the 2nd half to make the lead by 3. Dominik Szoboszlai scored, and the other goal was an Own Goal by Aston Villa.

Liverpool will be visiting the Wolverhampton Wanderers who are 1-0-3 and at the bottom of the table so far. Even though they are the away team, they are still heavily favored to win in regulation.

My play is going to be Liverpool to get it done in regulation plus Mo Salah to score in back-to-back games. Way back in January these 2 teams met in the FA Cup and Salah scored once. Give me this nice plus money on what should be a no brainer.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Sheffield United Prediction, Odds & Best Bet

Prediction & Pick: Tottenham ML + Son Heung-Min ATG (+109)

Tottenham has had a great start to the season with a 3-1-0 start. This is to my surprise with the exit of Harry Kane to Bayern.

Facing a bottom of the league team in Sheffield United, Tottenham has the advantage all around. They will be playing at home and it's only their 2nd home game of the season.

Coming in hot and with momentum, I lean heavy toward Tottenham. I think they show out for the home crowd as they did in their opener vs Manchester United.

They have a +7-goal differential so far this season, so they have been finding the back of the net as well as playing good defense.

Son Heung-Min has become the leader and new captain of this squad. He leads the team with 3 goals and has James Maddison alongside him. Maddison also has 2 goals and 2 assists.

I like Tottenham to take this game at home again with a goal from Son. The just over even odds give the play some value. I would not be surprised to see Son's goal come from Maddison…it may or may not be +550 and worth a sprinkle!

West Ham United vs Manchester City Prediction, Odds & Best Bet

Prediction & Pick: Manchester City ML + Erling Haaland ATG (+106)

The defending League Champs and current league leader Manchester City are off to a hot start. They are 4-0-0 and continuing right where they left off from last year.

They will be the visitor's vs West Ham United this Saturday in London. West Ham is 3-1-0 so they will be City's best opponent so far this year.

Erling Haaland is off to a hot start this year with 6 goals already. He's scored in his last 3 games totaling 5 goals. Haaland is already looking like he's going to beat this past season, which was the best year of his career.

I lean Man City hard even though they are on the road. I expect Haaland to do what he does best and control in front of the net. He should also get his shots in, so there will be plenty of chances.

Once Man City gets the lead, they have been able to hold the games down from there. Adding more offense or playing solid defense with good time management.
