English Premier League Week 9: Preview, Odds & Best Bets

After a week break, we are back with another week of English Premier League soccer. We have a huge slate Saturday with all but 1 game playing.

We split our picks 2 weeks go going 1-1. Aston Villa drew against Wolverhampton and Watkins got us our shot on target, but Manchester City failed to get it done.

Manchester United got back on track with a thrilling win at home vs Brentford. They conceded an early goal, but Scott McTominay scored not 1, but 2 goals in extra time. One came in the 4' of extra time and then the other at the 8th minute.

Tottenham continued their winning ways beating Luton Town 1-0. Fulham got a solid 3-1 win vs Sheffield and Liverpool and Brighton ended in a draw.

I'm excited we're back and the slate looks pretty hot for us to hit some bets. We start off with Liverpool hosting Everton. Then we have Manchester City hosting Brighton, which is a great bounce back sport for City.

Let's get into these games a little more and talk about our spots. Here is the rest of the schedule for Saturday:

Liverpool vs Everton Prediction, Odds & Best Bets

Prediction and Pick: Liverpool ML + Mo Salah ATG (+131)

This is a great game for Liverpool fans and sports bettors as well. The Reds have been playing well this year and are 4th in the league with a record of 5-2-1. Everton on the other hand has not played well, sitting 16th on the table.

With a week off and coming into this game, this is a perfect spot for Liverpool to play a fun game and win. The home crowd at Anfield Stadium will be rocking for them as well.

Mo Salah is having another great year. He has 5 goals and 4 assists on 12 shots on goal so far this season. The Liverpool forward has been the heart of this team for years and this year is no different.

We're taking Liverpool to coast to a nice home win and Mo doing his thing, banging one home for us. They're the better team and this should be a complete lay up for them.

Manchester City vs Brighton Prediction, Odds & Best Bets

Prediction and Pick: Erling Haaland 2+ Shots on Target & Julian Alvarez 1+ Shots on Target (-104)

Manchester City started off hot, winning their first 6 games. They then dropped their next 2 Premier League games, so this is a great spot for them as well.

At home and playing a good Brighton team, this could be a good bounce back game for Man City. Erling Haaland, who has 8 goals on the year, did not had a score in the last 2 games that they lost.

He also has only had 3 shots and 2 on target in his last 3 Premier League games. With that being said, he's due for a good game. We're only looking for 2 shots on target and for a player of his caliber, that isn't asking much. He is coming off 2 good games in the Euro '24 Qualifiers, one game where he had 3 shots on target.

The other player that has had a great season so far is Julian Alvarez. He has 3 goals and 3 assists in the 8 games so far this year. He's coming back from World Cup Qualifiers where he had 1 shot on target in both games.

Both guys are having great seasons and I think they continue it on Saturday. They'll look to put on a show in front of the home crowd.
