Past champions include Roma in 2022, West Ham United in 2023, Olympiacos in 2024, and Chelsea in 2025. Now another EPL team has a chance to win, as Crystal Palace faces Rayo Vallecano today. Back Crystal Palace with me, as the EPL is the best league in world. We already saw the EPL trump the Bundesliga in the Europa League Final, as Aston Villa won 3-0. Today I see Palace handling business. Rayo Vallecano has a solid back line, but they fail to produce very many goals. The books already see this being a low scoring match, as the over 2.5 is listed at plus money.
Always do your line shopping, as laying the -0.5 pays slightly better than the straight moneyline, even though they both require the same result: a Crystal Palace win in 90 minutes. The EPL club is winless in their last four games overall, but they played teams that were in the top 10 of the EPL table, losing to Manchester City and Arsenal, while drawing with Brentford. They are clearly the more battle tested team, and I have faith in them figuring out a way to win this afternoon.
Since trading away Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi, Palace has struggled down the stretch. But against a weaker La Liga side, this is the perfect time for them to end their season on a high note and capture a little hardware in the process. Not to mention qualifying for the Europa League would bring in plenty of guaranteed money for next season as well.
Give me Palace in a low scoring game, but for plus money, I think they are worth it.
