The 2024 MLS Season is upon us and here we will be bringing you a preview of everything you need to know for the season.

Odds to Win the 2024 MLS Cup

MLS Cup Odds
- Inter Miami +225
- LAFC +700
- Columbus Crew +1000
- FC Cincinnati +1400
- New York Red Bulls +1600
- Philadelphia Union +1800
- Seattle Sounders +1800
- Orlando City +2200
- Houston Dynamo +2500
- LA Galaxy +2500
- Nashville SC +2500
- New York City FC +2500
After that, there is some fall off between these 12 teams and the rest of the league. It's no surprise that Inter Miami is the clear favorite, after signing world class stars like Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets.
They all played together at FC Barcelona.
After seeing them handle business in their first game, it is clearly Miami's title to lose.
But What About Some Dark Horses?
I'm not sure if one would consider the team with the 4th best odds as a Dark Horse, but FC Cincinnati at 14-1 is looking enticing. They ran away with the Supporter's Shield last season, winning the Eastern Conference by 6 total points and a +18 goal differential.
Cincy only improved defensively by signing USMNT center back Miles Robinson.
In just a few years, Cincinnati has gone from the worst team to the best team in the MLS, regular season record-wise. Watch out for them during the 2024 MLS Season.
I also wouldn't mind a sprinkle on the Seattle Sounders at 18-1. The Sounders signed a 23 year old winger from Argentina and expect him to have an immediate impact on offense. Pedro de la Vega will pair up nicely across from Jordan Morris, and the defense for the Sounders is already there.
Seattle allowed just 32 goals in 34 regular season games last season, tying with Nashville for the best in the league.
It's been a few season's since they've been in title contention, but this year I could see the Sounders making a push for their first MLS Cup appearance since 2020, and first Title since 2019.
Seattle played in 5 MLS Cup Finals from 2016-2020, securing titles in 2016 and 2019.
MLS Biggest Transfers
As always, there are tons of new faces around the league. Here are some of the biggest names you will hear this season across the MLS, with some new faces and familiar ones in different jerseys.
- Lionel Messi: Inter Miami
- Sergio Busquets: Inter Miami
- Jordi Alba: Inter Miami
- Luis Suarez: Inter Miami
- Cristian Arango: Real Salt Lake
- Diego Rossi: Columbus Crew
- Asier Illarramendi: FC Dallas
- Julián Fernández: New York City FC
- Maya Yoshida: LA Galaxy

- Lorenzo Insigne: Toronto FC
- Douglas Costa: LA Galaxy
- Federico Bernardeschi: Toronto FC
- Giorgio Chiellini: LAFC
- Xherdan Shaqiri: Chicago Fire
- Cucho Hernandez: Columbus Crew
- Carlos Vela: LAFC
