BetRivers Poker Championship 2025

BetRivers Poker is making headlines with its second BetRivers Poker Championship (BPC) series of the year.

The announcement arrives as PokerStars confirmed it will not run its popular COOP tournaments in the United States this year.

That decision leaves a gap in the competitive calendar, and BetRivers is ready to step in. For players on US online poker sites, this series promises value, variety, and strong guarantees.

BetRivers Poker Championship Series Overview

The BPC will run from September 21 to October 5, 2025, featuring more than $500,000 in guaranteed prize pools. BetRivers ambassador Phil Hellmuth praised the series,

"$500,000 GTD! I have won my share of championships, and I can tell you this: players want big guarantees, exciting formats, and a chance to win big. That's exactly what the BetRivers Poker Championship delivers: more than $500k in guarantees, 32 trophy events, and finales that will have everyone fired up!"

The series will be available to players in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Delaware, and West Virginia. New Jersey is not yet live, though BetRivers expects to launch there before year's end, which would mark its fifth regulated US market.

Schedule of Events

The BPC schedule includes 56 numbered events, totaling 112 tournaments, split evenly between Silver and Gold tiers. This mirrors the structure used in the inaugural Multi-State Series. Out of these tournaments, 32 will award physical trophies to the winners.

Leaderboard competitions will add further excitement, with over $8,000 in prize money spread across both tiers. Moreover, three Encore Freerolls will support the series, offering another $12,000 in prize pools.

As befitting a Championship series, the buy-ins are higher than regular offerings. They start at $2 and go up to $500, with new $300 and $500 events introduced. Silver tier buy-ins range from $2 to $50, while Gold tier buy-ins range from $20 to $500.

The flagship Main Event will feature a $200 buy-in and a $40,000 guarantee, up from $30,000 in the previous series. This makes it the site's largest guaranteed tournament to date.

Moreover, a Silver-tier Main Event with a $20 buy-in and a $6,000 guarantee will also run. Both Main Events take place on October 5 and will award trophies to the winners.

Other key events include:

Date Event Buy-in Guarantee
September 21 Series Starter $100 $15,000
September 21 High Roller $300 $20,000
September 21 Deepstack PKO $100 $20,000
September 28 Deepstack $100 $25,000
September 28 High Roller PKO $300 $20,000

BetRivers Positions Itself as a Major Player

This championship marks only the second major tournament series for BetRivers Poker since its US debut in October 2024.

Its first, the Multi-State Summer Series (MSS), ran in August and paid out $255,455 across 71 tournaments. The $200 Main Event drew 173 entries, generating a $32,251 prize pool.

BetRivers remains the only regulated operator offering online poker in both Delaware and West Virginia, while also serving Pennsylvania and Michigan.

Its continued expansion highlights its ambition to compete with other US online poker sites and deliver championship-level action for players nationwide.
