High-stakes poker professional Alex Foxen added another trophy to his cabinet this week at the Venetian Las Vegas. He dominated the $1,600 buy-in Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) Poker Bowl X. This victory earned Foxen $165,235 and his second career MSPT title. 

The tournament drew 740 entries, creating a massive $1,050,800 prize pool. While many players practice their skills on US online poker sites, Foxen proved his live dominance once again.

Foxen's Path to Victory at the Final Table

The final table featured a lineup of seasoned professionals and rising stars. Foxen entered the final day with focus and precision. 

He faced stiff competition from players like World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner Nick Palma. Early in the action, 2023 WPT World Champion Dan Sepiol fell in ninth place. Foxen remained patient as the field narrowed.

A major turning point occurred when Foxen eliminated Nick Palma in fifth place. This hand solidified Foxen's position as a top contender for the title. 

Shortly after, Justin Lapka exited in fourth, followed by Joe Serock in third. These key eliminations set the stage for a dramatic heads-up battle.

Foxen began his duel against Miquel Maines facing a significant chip deficit. However, he utilized his extensive experience to claw back into the lead. In the final hand, the board provided the perfect setup. 

Foxen flopped bottom set against the top pair of Maines. Maines check-called every street, unaware of the trap. When the final bets went in, Foxen revealed his set to secure the win.
