Prediction for Hurricanes vs Panthers

Well, in case you missed it, Game 1 was one for the ages.

It actually just ended like 2 hours ago.

I am kidding, obviously, but it did take 4 overtimes to decide game 1, as the Panthers were able to finally end the 6th longest Game in NHL Playoff History and take a 1-0 lead in the series.

Matthew Tkachuk scored with 12.7 seconds left in the 4th overtime to seal the win for the Panthers and take a surprising early lead in these conference finals.

Tonight, it is very unlikely we see 4 overtimes yet again but this game will be tight, as both of these teams are well matched and are getting fantastic play from both of their net minders.

Freddie Andersen and Sergei Bobrovski have both been fantastic all playoffs long and were stellar in Game 1.

Both goalies are going to be crucial all series long and whichever one flinches first might be the tipping point of this series.

I am not sure which one does, but tonight, I think we see a lot of goals both ways.

Best Bet for Hurricanes vs Panthers

Both teams played practically 2 games in Game 1 and while I don't buy in to the fact that they will be tired, there will be opportunities for lots of open ice in this one and maybe some sloppy play.

That usually means goals and with the total sitting at 5.5, I will take that number all day long.

Carolina will be desperate to not go down 2-0 and the Panthers have won 7 in a row on the road in the playoffs.

A fight to the finish, maybe even another overtime await us tonight and instead of picking a side, give me goals.
