This is becoming more and more common that we get teams playing each other either on back to backs or even 3 times in a week, which is what we get tonight in this Metro division rivalry.

Both teams picked up a win in the last 2 matchups so it is all square heading into their last matchup of the season as we creep closer to the playoffs.

The Rangers are sitting 3rd in the Metro, with 88 points, a comfortable 10 points clear of the 4th place Penguins but every game matters and every point is paramount.

The Penguins are deadlocked with the Islanders for that 4th spot in the Metro and need to bag as many points as possible heading down the home stretch to ensure a playoff appearance.

It will be a battle all night long, as it always is between these two teams. Goaltender Igor Shesterkin has been confirmed for the Rangers and it is likely Tristan Jarry will get the nod for the Penguins.

Both number 1’s will go between the pipes and it will be a playoff atmosphere in rockin’ MSG tonight.
