Then there were two. The Stanley Cup Finals kick off tonight and we have the bullies of the league the Vegas Golden Knights taking on the nerds of the league in the Carolina Hurricanes. Luckily for us, both of these teams have tasty NHL player props at a discount. Maybe it's because both of these teams are finding scoring from their depth players. Both teams have overlooked players who are performing well. And both teams are finding ways to win (whether that's from floods of SOGs or from goaltender performances). So it should be easy to find some NHL best bets across every game of this series. The NHL best bet articles are green for units earned but it's time to get back to a winning record overall. Let's improve our overall record that is 10-11  tonight with some more NHL best bets.  So let's dig right into more NHL best bets.

We will be breaking down NHL best bets here at Betting News all playoffs long! Each article will look for VALUE, as in straights you can take to build up your bankroll or pieces you can use to beef up your parlays. All bets will be -135 or better odds. And while we will focus on NHL player props, there are times we will take sides and totals. So keep your eyes peeled here as we will drop these throughout the week.

And if you haven't already be sure to check out some of my favorite futures and awards. So time to lace them up and get ready to ride with Betzky for my favorite NHL best bets of the day.

1. K'Andre Miller Point +125 on Lucky Rebel:

Carolina Hurricanes players

Carolina Hurricanes players celebrate after scoring a goal.

He may not be a household name, but K'Andre Miller hasn't just been good this playoff run, he's been one of the best defensemen. Miller leads all Carolina blueliners with eight assists and a plus-14 rating through 13 playoff games. That's not a fluke — that's a player who has found his ideal environment and is locked in at exactly the right moment.

Playing in Carolina's second defense pair alongside Sean Walker, Miller has been averaging 23:44 in ice time per game. With Miller on the ice during 5-on-5 play in the playoffs, the Hurricanes have outscored opponents 10-1. A 10-1 5v5 goal differential with your guy on the ice is an almost obscene number. It speaks to how well he and Walker have functioned as a shutdown pair that also generates transition offense.

Miller completed the 2025-26 regular season with eight goals, 29 assists, 101 hits, and 79 blocked shots over 72 outings. That 37-point campaign came while missing time to injury and adjusting to an entirely new defensive system in Carolina. The underlying talent was always there — the playoffs just removed the ceiling.

The Carolina Hurricanes enter Game 1 with a staggering 12-1 postseason record, fueled by a relentless forecheck and a defensive system that has allowed an NHL-low goals against. All four lines have contributed. Taylor Hall has 16 points and Jackson Blake has 15 — both point-per-game players — while Logan Stankoven leads the team with nine goals. Despite the under looking like the total I'd lean, Carolina are still able to find the back of the net. And with the plus money value on Miller's point, I think leaning into this all situational blueline playing BIG TOI is on of the best NHL best bets tonght.

2. Andrei Svechnikov o2.5 SOG and a Point +145 on Lucky Rebel:

Andrei Svechnikov

Hurricanes forward Andrei Svechnikov celebrates after scoring a goal.

Let's start with Andrei Svechnkov's SOGs. Svechnikov has taken 36 shots attempts in his last 10 games. That's 6 shot attempts per game over his most recent stretch — which is twice as much as his 2.5 SOG prop threshold. That means Svechnikov could miss the net on half of his attempts and still hit his prop, which is exactly the volume we are looking for a SOG prop.

Here's where this play gets interesting. Carolina's top line of Svechnikov, Aho, and Jarvis have maintained a 31-30 edge in shots on goal and an 85-70 advantage in shot attempts during 5-on-5 play through this postseason. Carolina's top line was winning the shot battle — they just weren't cashing in. Then the dam broke. The Russian is averaging 3.5 shots on goal in the postseason, and he's put 11 pucks on net across the last two games, scoring in both. The combo of his SOG volume and the top line clicking is making this prop stack look like an NHL best bet.

Now it's time to ride the hot streak at home in the Stanley Cup Finals. In terms of offensive zone time percentage, Svechnikov ranks among the top four players in the entire playoffs among those who advanced past the first round, sitting at 50.1%. Half his ice time is in the offensive zone. For a player generating shots the way he has been, that's a constant pressure cooker of scoring opportunities. Let's lean into this opportunity as one of our NHL best bets.

Svechnikov goal for +190 is worth a sprinkle as well.

3. Jack Eichel Assist -130 on Lucky Rebel:

Tomas Hertl and Jack Eichel

Knights forward Tomas Hertl and Jack Eichel celebrate after Hertl scores a goal.

When the best playmaker in the NHL playoffs walks onto the ice for the Stanley Cup Final, you back his assist prop. It's not complicated — but the numbers behind it are impressive enough to make you wonder why this line isn't being devoured by the market. Jack Eichel's anytime assist tonight is a bet built on volume, elite linemates, historical precedent, and a player who has completely reinvented what his game looks like on the biggest stage.

Let's not bury the lede. After tallying 63 assists in the regular season, Eichel leads the entire playoffs in assists with 16 through 16 games. That's a full assist per game, sustained over a 16-game playoff run that included physical, grinding series against Utah, Anaheim, and a Presidents' Trophy Colorado team that entered the WCF on a six-game goal-scoring streak from Nathan MacKinnon. Eichel neutralized MacKinnon and still led the entire postseason in helpers while doing it.

The cherry on top is that Eichel has gone pointless in two games. Something that has not happened all playoffs. While the Marner and Howden line were able to close out the Colorado series, the Golden Knights top line will need to be relied on to get past Carolina's tough and responsible defense. And leaning on one of the best in the league as your NHL best bet just makes sense.

Eichel 2+ Points +195 is worth a sprinkle as well.
