Smell that? Yes, it's the smell blooming flowers and trees as we are officially in Spring. Or as I like to call it "NHL Playoff Season". And while we still have about two weeks until the most glorious of all postseasons begins, I already am way too excited for this years journey to the Stanley Cup. So let's keep building more bankroll with some NHL best bets as we get geared up for playoff parlays and ending the season strong. There is so many sneaky plus money props in this slate, and some rookies making an impact on their teams. Let's end the season strong, starting today and pump up our 49-53 record on the articles, that has tons of plus money value by finding some of the best NHL bets tonight.

One goal. One number that hasn't been reached in a Canadiens uniform since 1990. Cole Caufield is sitting at 49 goals and the defending Stanley Cup champions are limping into the Bell Centre tonight, gutted by injuries and already eliminated. If there was ever a night written for history, this is it.

Before we even get to tonight's matchup, let's appreciate the absurdity of what Caufield is doing. He has 28 goals in his past 27 games — a pace that belongs in a different era of hockey — and his 49 goals already shatter his previous career high of 37, set just last season. Over his last 10 games alone, Caufield has posted 19 points — 10 goals and nine assists — on 38 shots, with a plus-11 rating. This isn't a hot streak. This is a player who has entered an entirely different level of production and held it there. And exactly why his goal is an NHL best bet tonight.

Caufield isn't just chasing a round number. He sits just two goals behind Nathan MacKinnon, who has 51 to lead the NHL — which means 50 goals tonight would put him squarely in the race for the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy, an award no Canadiens player has ever won. That extra motivation should help, and make you feel confident in adding his 3+ SOG to his goal, as he shouldn't stop shooting if he hits the 50th milestone early in the game.

Florida ranks 26th in the NHL in goals allowed this season with 247. And their recent form has been even worse: over their last 10 games, the Panthers are 4-6-0 and surrendering 3.6 goals per game. Only the Chicago Blackhawks have allowed more high-danger chances over the past 10 games, and Florida slots 30th in save percentage during that span. Add it all up and it's clear why Caufield goal is an NHL best bet tonight.

2. Rasmus Andersson Point +120 on Lucky Rebel:

Rasmus Andersson is a player who took a while to fully click after his mid-season trade to Vegas — and now he's clicking with a four game point strak and is about to go against the leagues worst in goals for per game played, the Vancouver Canucks, in the NHL in a game Vegas desperately needs. The point prop tonight writes itself as an NHL best bet.

After a mostly quiet first two months in a Golden Knights uniform adjusting to a new system and reduced power play role, Andersson has found his footing in a major way. He enters tonight on a four-game point streak with three goals and two assists, and sits at 16 goals and 43 points over 76 appearances on the season. And the most recent point in that streak? A goal against the Vancouver Canucks on March 30 — the exact opponent Vegas faces again tonight. He's already found the back of Vancouver's net this series. He knows how to do it.

There is no more favorable opponent for a point prop in the NHL right now than the Vancouver Canucks. They rank dead last in the league with 286 goals allowed — and 32nd out of 32 teams in goals against — while also finishing last in goals for with just 192. The Canucks were the first team eliminated from playoff contention this season, on March 22, and will finish last overall in the NHL standings for the first time since the 1971-72 season. Andersson has great history against the Canucks as well, with a point in 9 of his last 15 games against them.

Vegas enters tonight with points in five straight games at 3-0-2, a winning streak that began with the coaching change, and is one point back of the Oilers for the Pacific Division lead. This is a team that has genuine playoff seeding motivation — every win could matter for home-ice advantage in the first round.

A defenseman on a four-game point streak, including a goal against tonight's opponent just eight days ago, facing the 32nd-ranked defense in the NHL by goals allowed, playing for a team surging under a new coach in a game with genuine playoff seeding stakes. Against a Vancouver team that has already been eliminated and is playing out the string with a struggling goaltender.

The point prop for Rasmus Andersson tonight is about as clean as it gets for an NHL best bet.

Hartman is on fire right now, scoring in four straight games and producing points in six straight, racking up six goals and eight points over that stretch. He has since extended that point streak to six games and now has 41 points across 73 games this season — securing 40-plus points for the third time in the last five years.

Over Minnesota's last 10 games, Hartman leads the entire Wild roster with 13 points — seven goals and six assists. Hartman now has four multi-point games in a row. He gets the benefit of playing with Kaprizov and Zuccarello on the Wild's top line. And to make this NHL best bet even better is his dominant performance against the Kraken. He has a point against Seattle in 8 of the last 9 times he has faced them.

The Seattle Kraken are not just losing — they are structurally falling apart at the wrong end of the season. They enter tonight on a five-game losing streak and have scored two goals or fewer in all five of those losses. The stat that makes the Hartman point prop truly compelling is Seattle's penalty kill. The Kraken's penalty kill sits at just 72.8 percent this season, having surrendered 55 power-play goals against. That is one of the worst marks in the entire NHL. Minnesota, meanwhile, operates one of the league's most dangerous power plays, converting at 24.9 percent — third in the NHL. Hartman sees time on the man advantage and has been cashing in on it throughout his current streak. Against a team that can't kill penalties, any power play opportunity is a genuine point-generating event and just some icing to the cake of this NHL player prop.
