Time is running out on the NHL season, and that means I want more green, more bankroll and more SWEEPS before the NHL playoffs begin. Last week we went 4-2 on our two articles. Let's keep the positive momentum by finding NHL player props at a discount. There is so many sneaky plus money props in this slate, and some rookies making an impact on their teams. Let's end the season strong, starting today and pump up our 46-50 record on the articles, that has tons of plus money value by finding some of the best NHL bets tonight.

We will be breaking down NHL best bets here at Betting News all playoffs long! Each article will look for VALUE, as in straights you can take to build up your bankroll or pieces you can use to beef up your parlays. All bets will be -135 or better odds. And while we will focus on NHL player props, there are times we will take sides and totals. So keep your eyes peeled here as we will drop these throughout the week.

And if you haven't already be sure to check out some of my favorite futures and awards. So time to lace them up and get ready to ride with Betzky for my favorite NHL best bets of the day.

1.  Anton Frondell Point +125 on Lucky Rebel:

Chicago Blackhawks forward Anton Frondell

Chicago Blackhawks forward Anton Frondell has been a rookie sensation

Anton Frondell has been in North America for exactly one week. He has a point in every NHL game he's played. Tonight at the United Center against the Winnipeg Jets, bet on that streak continuing. Especially because out of his four NHL games so far he has yet to score a goal. The kid will be motivated tonight in his first home game of his (very) young NHL career.

The backstory here is almost too good. Frondell's Swedish club Djurgårdens IF was eliminated from the SHL playoffs on Saturday, he got the call right after, packed his bags Sunday, and was in New York making his NHL debut on Tuesday. The 18-year-old's response to being dropped into the NHL with zero transition time? 4 points in his first 4 NHL games, with 10 shots on goal. That's not settling in — that's arriving and exactly why this is an NHL best bet.

Frondell is somewhat known for his goal scoring prowess, and this has been seen by his shot volume. He has a combined 10 SOG off of 19 shot attempts in his four games. While all four of his points have been assists, the kid feels due and what better way to get your first NHL goal than in your first NHL home game (goal is +400 and looks great). Still, we will keep it safe here in case he continues to setup his linemate Bedard.

Speaking of Bedard, he loves playing the Winnipeg Jets (tonight's opponent) and has a point in 7 of his 9 career games against the Jets, including 4 multi-point games. This domination should help Frondell get on the score sheet tonight, and exactly why this top forward's point at plus money looks like a solid NHL bet.

2. Kaapo Kakko Point +150 on Lucky Rebel:

Kaapo Kakko has been one of Seattle's top forwards

Kaapo Kakko has been one of Seattle's top forwards

Let's start with the numbers, because they demand attention. Kakko has five points in his last four games and eight points — including five assists — in his last six. That isn't a blip or an outlier; it's a player locked in during the most important stretch of the Kraken's season. Since the start of January, Kakko has accumulated 26 points over 34 outings — a pace that puts him comfortably among the more productive forwards in the Western Conference over that span. And that hot streak is why this plus money prop looks like an NHL best bet.

Seattle is fighting tooth and nail for a wildcard spot, making every game a genuine must-contribute situation for their top producers. Kakko is squarely in that group. The desperation factor is real — when playoff hockey is on the line, players like Kakko who have elevated their games tend to stay elevated. There's no coasting on momentum in March. Tonight's game at Rogers Place against an Oilers team the Kraken need to beat to climb the standings adds another layer of urgency that historically favors players mid-surge.

This is where the prop becomes genuinely compelling. The Edmonton Oilers rank 28th in the NHL in goals against this season, having surrendered 248 goals. Despite the McDavid and Draisaitl-era offense that keeps them in games, Edmonton's defensive structure and goaltending have been persistently problematic. It's the most well-known open secret in the Pacific Division. And since Kakko's move to Seattle from the Rangers, he has 5 points in four games against Edmonton. He's also found chemistry with the Kraken's newest forward and linemate Bobby McMann, who has a goal in 6 of the last 8 games and 6 goals against the Oilers in his last 5 games.

3. Zachery Benson Point +155 on Lucky Rebel:

Zach Benson has been hot over the last couple weeks, making his point a best bet

Zach Benson has been hot over the last couple weeks

The Buffalo Sabres are on the verge of ending the longest playoff drought in NHL history, and Zach Benson is one of the main reasons why. Tonight at KeyBank Center against the New York Islanders, every reason to back his point prop is an NHL best bet. The Sabres are getting production up and down their lineup. So while Benson may be on the "third line" that doesn't necessarily mean he wont have plenty of opportunities and mismatches. Especially because he gets an Islanders team he has amazing history against.

Benson is on a heater, with three goals and six points in his last five games. And while it's always a good idea to ride hot streaks, here's the wrinkle that elevates this prop from good to great. In Benson's short career, he has 6 points against the Islanders in 6 games against them. He registered a point in four of those games.

Now the Islanders are known as a strong defensive team. However, they are coming off a brutal loss last night against the Penguins at home, dropping a crucial game 8-3 after being up 3-1 early into the 2nd. Now they will play one of the hottest teams in the league, on the road, in one of the rowdiest rinks in the league. While I expect the Islanders to tighten the belt buckle tonight, it may not matter. The Sabres have all the momentum in the world to rack up points tonight, making depth guys like Benson at plus money an NHL best bet.
