Once again, the NHL best bets article went 2-1 on our last article. And while this is great for our overall record and units gained, I am DEMANDING we get a sweep. And what better night than tonight. Only two more articles until the NHL goes on the Olympic break so it will be crucial to find players who haven't already started daydreaming about Cancun. Time to zig and zag to find some NHL best bets on this big Tuesday slate. Let's start building up units by boosting our 37-38 record on the articles, that has tons of plus money value.
We will be breaking down NHL best bets here at Betting News all playoffs long! Each article will look for VALUE, as in straights you can take to build up your bankroll or pieces you can use to beef up your parlays. All bets will be -135 or better odds. And while we will focus on NHL player props, there are times we will take sides and totals. So keep your eyes peeled here as we will drop these throughout the week.
And if you haven't already be sure to check out some of my favorite futures and awards. So time to lace them up and get ready to ride with Betzky for my favorite NHL best bets of the day.
1. Chris Kreider Point +105 on Lucky Rebel:

Ducks forward Chris Kreider erupts with his teammates after scoring a goal.
Kreider has been quietly productive lately: 8 points in his last 10 games, with points in 6 of those 10 (including a 2-point game on Feb. 1).
That's exactly what you want for a point prop—you're not relying on a random spike; you're betting into a stretch where he's regularly finding the scoresheet.
Kreider's value for a point prop is that his offense is role-based:
-
Net-front / interior presence (tips, rebounds, screens)
-
Power-play finishing
-
Quick "touch" assists off chaos plays around the crease
Even if his shot volume fluctuates game to game, those net-front reps tend to translate to high-leverage points (goals and primary helpers) more consistently than perimeter-only profiles. And tonight's match up makes his role a fantastic target for an NHL best bet.
The Seattle Kraken are a perfect opponent for a power play unit to get on the scoresheet. That's because Seattle's penalty kill has been near the bottom of the league this season (listed 31st on NHL team PK% rankings). And Kreider specifically is still doing damage on the man advantage—he has 7 power-play goals this season. Hell, you could take a stab at his power play point for even more value (+330).
2. Matty Beniers Point -125 on Lucky Rebel:

Beniers has a great history against the Ducks
I don't normally highlight two props from the same game, but this one is too tasty to pass. Not only is the top center for the Seattle Kraken hot over his last 10 games, Matty Beniers gets one of his favorite targets in his young career. Over his most recent stretch, Beniers has 8 points in his last 9 games, with a point in 6 of those 9 (including a 2-point game vs Washington on 1/27).
Beniers is being used in a high-leverage spot on the power play (listed on the 1st PP unit alongside Chandler Stephenson, Jordan Eberle, Vince Dunn, and Jared McCann). For point props, that matters because even if 5v5 is quiet, one PP touch (primary assist, rebound goal, quick give-and-go) can cash the ticket. But what really makes this an NHL best bet, is that Beniers has historically produced against the Ducks: 20 points (6G, 14A) in 14 career games vs Anaheim.
Anaheim's team profile helps a Beniers' point bet: They allow about 28.9 shots against per game. Their penalty kill is around ~78% this season (i.e., not an elite shutdown unit). And the cherry on top is that the Ducks allow the 3rd most goals against per game in the league. That combination tends to create enough total events (shots, rebounds, PP looks) for a PP-involved center like Beniers to get in on one. Let's double dip on the Kraken and Ducks game.

3. Seth Jarvis Assist +125 on Lucky Rebel:

Hurricanes forward Seth Jarvis winds up and rips a shot on goal vs. the Devils.
Seth Jarvis has quietly become one of the most underrated playmakers on the Carolina Hurricanes, and his assist total stands out as a compelling prop to target in Tuesday's game against the Ottawa Senators. Over his last 10 games, Jarvis has 7 assists, with points in 7 of those 10 contests — and assists make up the majority of that production. He's not just shooting; he's creating for others, particularly when Carolina's top line cycles territory in the offensive zone.
Jarvis is playing on the top line with strong linemates — primarily Sebastian Aho and Andrei Svechnikov — and that combination has given him opportunities to facilitate more than finish. Even if he's not the finisher, he's often positioned to be the source of zone entries and initial passing sequences that lead to goals. That's exactly the sort of usage you want when targeting assists rather than goals.
The Senators have struggled defensively this season, especially in terms of limiting zone exits and clearing rebounds. They allow one of the higher rates of high-danger chances against per 60 minutes, meaning more chaotic offense and more secondary chances — perfect for a creative passer like Jarvis.
Ottawa's penalty kill has also dipped below league average, which opens more power-play time for Carolina and more opportunities for Jarvis to set up goals rather than just shoot them. The Senators allow the 11th most goals against in the league this season and recently hold the 10th worst penalty kill. Not to mention, they played last night. Add this all up and it's clear why Seth Jarvis assist is an NHL best bet tonight.
