Tonight the Los Angeles Kings and Edmonton Oilers are up in Canada for Game 3 of this opening round series. The Kings were able to take both games at home, netting six goals in each victory. The Oilers had a more valiant effort in Game 1 as they came back from down four goals to tie the game before losing in heartbreaking fashion. Last time in Game 2, they fell down 3-0 midway through the 2nd period. The Oilers went on to cut the lead to just one goal early in the 3rd before giving up three straight to lose by four.

It helps that the Kings were 3/5 on the power play in Game 2 while the Oilers were skunked on all three of their chances. It wasn't different in Game 1 either with LA converting on 2/5 chances, while Edmonton came up without a goal twice. Could things be different on their home ice tonight? Or will the Kings finally get past their arch-nemesis in the playoffs?

Los Angeles Kings vs Edmonton Oilers Best Bets

Leon Draisaitl leads the Oilers in the playoffs

Back Draisaitl and the Oilers to come alive at home

Kings vs Oilers Prediction: Oilers Wins, Over 6

Best Bets: Oilers ML (-137) BetOnline

Back the Oilers at home tonight. Sure, they lost both games in Los Angeles, but the Kings were 31-6-4 at home this season. On the road, they went just 17-19-5. A losing record away from home for the 2nd place team in the Pacific Division. Now, the Oilers offense has struggled, and they've scored just 1 goal in two games at home against the Kings this season. Evander Kane was back on the ice for Edmonton, and I think in his second game back tonight he is much more effective on the ice.

Offensively, McDavid and company know they need to step up. McDavid has just five SOGs this series, Leon Draisaitl only has six, and Zach Hyman only has three. The Oilers have nothing to lose in this game, and that is a very dangerous place to be. I see this offense really coming alive back on their home ice, against one of the worst away teams in the NHL this year. It's clear the Oilers will need to steal a game in Los Angeles to win this series, but they need to win this one to ensure they get that chance.

Give me a fired up Edmonton Oilers team tonight, and I'm willing to pay this juice.
