After 16 games last night, the NHL gave all but two teams the day off today. Lucky for us, we still get one game on the ice tonight as the New Jersey Devils host the Washington Capitals!

The Devils lead the NHL in PP%

The Capitals suffered an embarrassing 4-1 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs last night at home. Then they spent the night traveling up to New Jersey to face a red hot Devils team.

This young New Jersey team is motivated to get back into the playoffs this season, and so far they are on track to do just that.

The Devils are 3-1-1 on the season, and have won two straight on the road. After starting off losing 2 out of 3 at home to begin the season, the Devils should be extra motivated to give their home crowd something to cheer about.

I do not have a play on the side or total at the current prices, however I lean with the Devils and do have some player props to go along with this script.

Nico Hischier Point (-150) Bovada

Hischier got a PP Point last night, can he do it again?

Nico only has one point on the season, a goal that happened last night. I think it could be the start of something for this kid.

Playing on the second line, Hischier is certainly the number one option when he's on the ice. Plus, Hischier is on the Top PP unit, pairing him with Jack Hughes and Tyler Toffoli.

Hischier's point is juicy, but if you want more bang for your buck, take him to get a PP Point at +250 with me.

In 19 games against the Capitals, Hischier has 17 total points, and a point in 13/19 games. He has a point in 3 straight against Washington, and in 5 of his L6.

Now, here is why I'm focused on the PP Point.
