Both of these teams are in a bit of a funk right now, especially the Blues.
The boys from St. Louis have been playing really poor hockey and it shows in their record and where they are sitting in the Central.
The Blues have lost 4 in a row and are currently 6th in the Central, with 49 points and need to start grabbing some wins to make any type of push towards a possible playoff appearance.
Offense hasn't necessarily been an issue for the Blues, scoring 3 GPG, but it's been on the backend, defensively and goal tending, that have been the biggest issue recently.
The Blues are allowing 3.6 GPG, 26th in the league and G Jordan Bennington has not been the stud we saw last season.
Bennington has a decent record, at 18-17-1 but has a 3.28 GAA and a poor .891 Save percentage.
If the Blues can tighten things up at the back end, they have the offensive firepower with Jordan Kyrou, Rob Thomas and Co. to score with almost anyone.
That is a big IF.
We will have to see what happens and what adjustments are made after the All-Star break to get the Blues back to playing winning hockey.
Tonight will be a tough test though and I am not sure they make a big push in Winnipeg.
While I do feel like the Jets should do enough to get a win here at home, there isn't value on the moneyline and the puck line scares me.
Two division rivals going head to head who are capable of scoring lots of goals, give me the over.
Both teams average over 3 goals scored per game and I could see a scoring fest in Winnipeg in the last game for both these teams before the All-Star break.
