Welcome to my Giants vs. Titans prediction and expert picks for Week 3! Tennessee heads to New York looking to build on a much more competitive Week 2 effort, while the Giants enter Sunday with a massive question at quarterback after Jaxson Dart suffered a knee injury against the Rams.
Tennessee was a disaster against the Jets in Week 1, then pushed Philadelphia to the final seconds in Week 2. New York, meanwhile, is forced to turn to Jameis Winston after Dart's injury, which is obviously a completely different type of quarterback experience.

Giants vs. Titans Prediction and Expert Pick for Week 3 (Sept. 27)
The Giants (1-1) came out of Week 2 with much bigger concerns than a loss to the Rams.
Dart went down with a knee injury, and all signs point toward the sophomore quarterback potentially missing the rest of the 2026 season. That's just brutal. Dart has already spent more time than anybody would like in the blue tent early in his NFL career, and while not every injury is his fault, it's tough to watch another young quarterback's momentum get derailed like this.
Later this week, coach John Harbaugh noted Dart "could" be back for the playoffs–and that's if the Giants are fortunate enough to make it. The bigger problem is that injuries are starting to feel like the theme around this Giants core.
Malik Nabers is still coming off the season-ending injury that ended his 2025 campaign and has already dealt with other physical issues this year. Cam Skattebo is an exciting player when he's out there, but availability has always been part of the conversation with him too.
On paper, the Giants have a fun young roster, but it gives me the ick building a core around a couple of guys who cannot stay on the field for one reason or another.
Winston didn't look good after replacing Dart against Los Angeles. No point in pretending otherwise. But I'd expect a better version of Winston with a full week of reps and a game plan built around what he does well.
Still, we know what we're signing up for with Winston.
He can make a few absurd throws, get hot for a stretch, and have everybody asking why he wasn't starting sooner. He can also throw two interceptions before halftime and turn the game into a complete adventure. That's the entire full Winston experience, and the Titans have a history of getting beat badly by backup quarterbacks.

Giants vs. Titans Prediction for Week 3
Tennessee is 0-2, but I think the market's putting too much weight on that ugly Week 1 loss to the Jets and not enough on what the Titans did against Philadelphia.
They had the Eagles on the ropes late. It wasn't perfect, and Tennessee still has a real time-of-possession issue, but Robert Saleh made some solid adjustments after halftime. The defense created turnovers, looked much more organized, and gave Tennessee a real chance to win.
That's a much better sign than the Week 1 mess.
Tennessee's defense has been on the field way too much through two games. Opponents have put together long drives, controlled the clock, and made the Titans work. That's a problem. You can't live like that all season.
But the Titans have done a good job preventing the kind of plays that can completely ruin an underdog ticket.
Tennessee has allowed explosive runs—runs of at least 10 yards—at a 4.5% rate, the lowest mark in football. The Titans have also surrendered plenty of quick completions, but opponents are getting the fewest yards after the catch per reception in the league.
That means Tennessee has bent, but it hasn't been ripped apart by massive chunk plays. There's a difference. And honestly, that type of defense could work perfectly against Winston.
Saleh has always been comfortable giving up some yards if it means limiting points. He'll keep the big plays in front of his defense, let an offense take the long way down the field, and basically dare the quarterback to put together a long drive without making an error. I don't always love that philosophy. Watching an opponent march from its own 20-yard line into the red zone can be pretty stressful.
But against Winston? It might play directly into Tennessee's hands.
If the Titans can contain Skattebo, keep explosive plays in front of them, and make Winston put together 10- or 12-play drives, I think the mistake eventually comes. That's the bet. Make him stay patient, make him take the checkdown, and wait for the Jameis moment.
Cam Ward also showed some encouraging signs against Philadelphia. He made a few really impressive throws, but the young quarterback still needs to improve his internal clock. He's left some clean pockets early, and Tennessee needs him to trust his protection a little more.
The good news is that the Titans' offensive line has played better than expected through two weeks. If Ward can stay patient, sit in the pocket for another beat, and let routes develop, Tennessee should be able to create more explosive plays. If the Titans can keep running efficiently, avoid the big turnover, and create a few chunk plays, they're absolutely capable of winning this game outright.

Gulp. I don't love this. A public dog, and we're backing a team that hasn't won in years–and they might not ever figure out how to win under Saleh. But if they do, the perfect time to start is now.
The Titans should sell out against the run, take away Skattebo as much as possible, and force Winston into a heavy dropback workload. That could go badly for Tennessee. Winston can absolutely make throws that change a game.
Tennessee held Philadelphia's runners to fewer than three yards per carry last week. The Titans have shown they can hold up against the run. Now, they get a Giants offense that could be relying heavily on a backup quarterback with one of the widest ranges of outcomes in football.

It would not shock me to see the Giants win, but it makes too much sense to take the Titans with the points. Unfortunately, the most Titans thing ever usually happens under these circumstances, and right when you think you have 'em figured out, you don't.
