Whether it's for the bets you're placing on Sunday or for your fantasy football team; injuries are big part of the NFL (unfortunately) and the only thing we can is stay informed.
This week I've listed out all the important injuries going into Week 5, with all designations updated as of Friday's practice.
This week we've got a laundry list of injuries to track and a ton of guys who's status still remains up in the air. I've highlighted a couple injuries that stuck out to me this week and tried to identify a way we can take advantage.
Injuries suck, but when one guy gets hurt that just means more opportunity for someone else. All we have to do is see if we can figure out who's up next.

Week 5, 2026. Confirm official injury statuses before placing wagers. .
Cincinnati Bengals

Though initially it looked like both Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase could miss this week's game, both guys were full participants at practice and both are trending in the right direction.
Chase suffered a concussion last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars and has been in concussion protocol all week. The team hasn't made a definitive statement on his status for this week's game against the Miami Dolphins, but it does look like he'll suit up.
Higgins lead all receivers last week with 11 catches for 157 yards before he left the game, for what was later reported as a neck/groin combo injury. His full participation at practice on Friday makes me think we see both receivers suit up on Sunday, but keep a close on eye on this one.
Potential Target(s)
If the Bengals' duo does end up sitting out, even just one of the two; we're looking squarely at Dohnte Meyers. Meyers went undrafted in 2023 but joined the Canadian Football League (CFL) shortly thereafter.
Meyers played 1.5 seasons in the CFL, winning a Grey Cup with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2025 before making the jump to the NFL. Last week after we saw Ja'Marr leave the game with a concussion, Meyers lead the Bengals' receivers in snap share, route share and target share.
Meyers caught 7 of his 9 targets for 82 yards and this week the Bengals go up against a really soft Miami secondary.
If you're looking for something even deeper than Meyers, Mike Gesicki has scored a touchdown in 3 of the team's 4 games this year. Miami also gives up the 3rd most yards to opposing TEs and Mike's career started here in Vice City.
Los Angeles Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers are not having a good time. There's plenty of blame to go around, but the offense has been bad and even though the defense hasn't been great; it's clear the offense is the issue.
Justin Herbert is averaging just 204.0 pass yards per game, he's completing less than 60% of his passes and he's got more interceptions (6) than touchdown passes (4). He's been sacked 12 times this year, tied for second most on the year and his offensive line has been decimated.
The Chargers signed Tyler Biadasz to be their new starting C and he's yet to play a single snap for the Chargers. In addition to Biadasz, the Chargers just lost both Joe Alt (OT) and Rashawn Slater in last week's game against the Seahawks. Slater was put on the IR while Alt's already been listed as out this week.
We can't forget about the injuries to this receiver room. Quentin Johnston's officially been listed out for this week's game and while Ladd McConkey's still questionable, he hasn't been healthy since Week 1.
First it was the bruised rib, then McConkey popped up on the injury report with a foot issue. He ended up playing last week, but finished with 0 catches, 2 targets and didn't finish the game.
Potential Target(s)
Tre Harris is the guy I've got my eyes on if McConkey does sit and honestly maybe even if he plays. Harris played 93% of the snaps last week, catching 3 of his 5 targets for 60 yards. Only 3 of his 5 targets were actually catchable balls but his average depth of target came out to 18.0 yards per target.
On the year, Harris is playing 77% of the snaps, he's seeing an 18% target share and has a 71% route participate rate. He's been the team's best at creating separation and this week the the Chargers host a beat up Broncos secondary.
The Broncos will be without both Pat Surtain and Riley Moss on Sunday, both of their starting CBs. Herbert might not have a ton of time in the pocket, but my expectation is that they'll need to pass the ball.
Props for Harris haven't been posted yet, so you'll have to keep an eye on the injury reports and see when that goes up.
Pittsburgh Steelers

Last one I'll talk about this week and that's Michael Pittman. Pittman signed with the Steelers this off-season after he and the Colts parted ways at the end of last year. He was supposed to be the WR2 to compliment D.K. Metcalf but it's been off to a rocky start.
Pittman's played 78% of the snaps this year, he's got a 72% route share, but he's only seeing 10% of the team's targets. He's played in 3 of the Steelers 4 games this year, he's caught 7 of his 12 targets and he's got just 89 total receiving yards; 58 of which came in Week 1.
Pittman was almost a non-factor when he was on the field, but now that he's out of the lineup; I've got my eyes on Aaron Rodgers' favorite new target.
Official Target(s)
Roman Wilson was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2024 NFL Draft but didn't play significant snaps till last year; Rodgers' 1st year with the Steelers. Wilson played in 13 games, caught just 12 balls (21 targets) and finished the season with 166 yards and 2 touchdowns.
This season, Wilson's second on the team in target share (16%), he's caught 14 of his 25 targets for 188 yards and he's already got 2 touchdowns. Wilson has surpassed or tied all his numbers from last year and it's taken him just 4 games.
Wilson's seeing an average depth of target of 16.2 yards, he's got big play ability and he plays a majority of snaps out of the slot. Why's that matter?
Indianapolis ranks dead last in yards allowed out of the slot this year, giving up 122.5 receiving yards per game to receivers in the slot. The Colts also run the 7th highest rate of man coverage and Wilson's been an elite separator versus man.
Among players with at least 20 targets this year, Wilson is 6th in separation score against man coverage, 3rd in yards per route run, but he's 18th in targets per route run. If you look at just the last two weeks, Wilson's got the 5th highest separation score, he's 4th in YPRR and he's got a 35% route win rate.
Best Bet: Roman Wilson o41.5 Receiving Yards (-109) | 70+ (+310) | 100+ (+1000)
