Daniel Collins (SPJ) NFL Week 5 Best Bet (2-2)

Can Carnell Tate build on his big Week 4 performance?
Carnell Tate o44.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
After a monster 145 yards receiving last week, the talented rookie is finally breaking out.
Tate has 21 targets in the last 2 weeks and is one of the most targeted WRs in the last 2 weeks of football.
The Texans are allowing the 2nd most yards per game to the WR position and given the connection Cam Ward and Tate are cultivating, the 4th overall pick could be in for another big day.
Chef T NFL Week 5 Best Bet (1-3)
Xavier Hutchinson has cleared 15 receiving yards in all four games this season, going for 32, 37, 51 and 46 yards while catching at least three passes in each.
Nico Collins was already back last week and Hutchinson still saw enough work to get 46, while Tank Dell remains out, so the role hasn't suddenly disappeared … 15 yards is a very low bar for the volume he's been getting.
Give me 15 yards for -125 easy.
Nate Hornung NFL Week 5 Best Bet (1-1)
Falcons TT Over 23.5 (-118)
Atlanta is second in the NFL in yards per carry, and eighth in yards per pass, thanks to Mr. Penix.
Since he took over, the offense is generating an average of 40 points and 459 yards per game, with just one total turnover and a 55.5% conversion rate on third down.
They keep it going at home on SNF.
Varun Sharma NFL Week 5 Best Bet (0-4)

Jacoby Brissett's favorite target, Michael Wilson
Michael Wilson o79.5 Receiving Yards (+105)
Michael Wilson's currently 9th in the NFL in target share, seeing 27% of the Cardinals' targets and accounting for 45% of the team's air yards. He's seen 7+ targets in all four games this year and has seen 30 targets over his last two games.
Wilson is 1 of just 6 receivers with 40+ targets this year. He's also 1 of just 4 receivers that have 40+ targets and an average depth of target of at least 10 yards. The other guys? Chris Olave, Jaxson Smith-Njigba and CeeDee Lamb.
Wilson has a 36% 1st read target share, he's yet to drop a pass and this week they go up against the worst pass defense in the NFL.
Brad Blakemore NFL Week 5 Best Bet (1-3)
D'Andre Swift o109.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards (-114)
No Monangai, which means the spotlight is on Swift. With the power back in the line up Swift has avg 98.8 rush+rec yards this season. The uptick should be significant without Monangai, who commanded at least 10 attacks every game this season. RBs have pounded Green Bay this season and we watched Bijan go 194 yards vs them just two weeks ago.
Tristan Vieira NFL Week 5 Best Bet (3-1)

Aaron Glenn continues to build in New York
Jets -2.5 (-115)
After taking our first loss we are going right back to the well and taking another disgusting line. The Jets have absolutely no business being a 2.5 point favorite to anyone, never mind a surging Browns team.
After their last performance on TNF, the public is running to slam the Browns as an underdog against a bad Jets teams. This is the perfect spot to sell high on the Browns, give me the Jets at home to get it done!
Sukh Brar NFL Week 5 Best Bet (1-3)
Aaron Rodgers o34.5 Passing Attempts (-115)
Old Man Rodgers has only missed this line once this season where it got hooked at 34. He's hit 40 twice this season as well. Furthermore, Rico Dowdle is still questionable. Even if he's in though Mike McCarthy is letting the HOFer go out on his shield slinging the pill. The Steelers haven't been great but Rodgers has 6 passing touchdowns in the last two weeks.
This Colts defence is bad. They're 31st in total yards allowed and 29th in passing yards. You know Aaron Rodgers is going to want to pick apart this defence. Keeping it simple on the road back to .500.
Justin Carlucci NFL Week 5 Best Bet (2-2)
Michael Wilson Touchdown (+130)
Wilson is earning every bit of that big contract. He owns a 45% air-yards share and a 27% target share. Detroit is getting throttled by outside receivers, and Wilson's RZ usage is elite.
PJ Glasser NFL Week 5 Best Bet (1-3)

Derrick Henry should be leaned on in Atlanta
Ravens +3.5 (-110)
This is too many points and way to much an overreaction to Lamar being out.
Ravens still have Derrick Henry and it's a good time to sell high on Atlanta after two prime time wins.
Tone's Takes NFL Week 5 Best Bet (2-2)
Brock Purdy over 21.5 rushing yards (-113)
San Francisco quarterback Brock Purdy has started this season hitting this in four straight games, averaging 30.5 yards per game.
He faces a Seattle team that has allowed the 4th most rushing yards to quarterbacks. We have a Divisional game that should be very competitive. I like Purdy to continue using his legs in a nice matchup.
Betting the Pitch NFL Week 5 Best Bet (2-2)
Houston TT o23.5 (+100)
Despite their 0-4 record, the Texans haven't struggled to put points on the board. Houston has scored 30+ points in half its games this season, and this offense is starting to click. The bigger issue has been the defense, but this feels like a great spot for that unit to get back on track and dominate.
I could see this defense contributing to this over by forcing turnovers and creating short fields for the offense. If Houston's defense steps up the way I expect, the Texans should have plenty of opportunities to put points on the board. I like Houston to run up the score in this one.
BetAlytics NFL Week 5 Best Bet (1-3)
Titans +7.5 (−115)
Betalytics projects this game as Houston 22, Tennessee 20, which is only a two-point gap against a 7.5-point spread. Our model gives Tennessee a 72.8% chance to cover, while the market's no-vig price implies about 51.2%, a gap of roughly 21 points that grades A on our scale.
Tennessee's projected 20 points also sits above the 14.5 team total the books are offering, which backs the view that the Titans stay within reach. With the number this far from our projection, we like the points.
Brandon Pham NFL Week 5 Best Bet (3-1)

Can the Texans win big in Tennessee?
Nico Collins o76.5 Receiving Yards -112
Collins looked good in his first week back from injury against Dallas. This week he gets another favorable matchup against the Titans.
In a must win game for Houston I think Stroud will look for his reliable targets. Against a defense ranked 23rd in the NFL against yards allowed to WRs, and that are especially bad just past the sticks over the middle where Collins usually operates. Nico Collins must show out to help Houston get their first win on the year.
Alex Bohling NFL Week 5 Best Bet (3-1)
Houston Texans -6.5 (-120)
This is the first side I've given out in the staff article plays, and I think it's for good reason.
With Nico Collins back from injury, the Texans actually have a competent offense. When Collins is healthy and playing, they average over 30 points a game.
On the other hand, the Tennessee Titans haven't scored more than 20 points in a single game this year, averaging just under 14 points a game.
Jackson McNeese NFL Week 5 Best Bet (1-2)
Browns ML +110
Both of these teams are bad but the Browns are the lesser evil in this game. However, the home field tax comes into play for the Jets here. I don't think it will matter and the Browns will win in a close, low scoring battle.
