The Denver Broncos will host the Jacksonville Jaguars this week, as they look to bounce back after an ugly loss in Kansas City. Problem is, the last time the Jaguars made the trip out to the Rockies, it got ugly for the Broncos.

Mile High
Mile High isn't just a saying, it's a literal description of the altitude in Denver, Colorado. The city sits a mile (5280 ft) above sea level and because of that altitude, the air carries less oxygen and fatigue starts to kick in that much quicker.
It's an advantage no other team in the NFL has and it's an advantage we've seen Denver capitalize on repeatedly. This week mark's the team's first home game of the year and it could be the perfect bounce back spot after an ugly loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on primetime.
The Broncos looked bad in Week 1. They lead the entire NFL in missed tackles, they let Kenneth Walker run for 173 yards and they let him average nearly 8 yards per carry.
On offense it didn't get any better. The team finished with just 176 total yards of offense, they scored just 1 touchdown and turned the ball over twice. Nix fumbled 3 times in the Week 1 loss to the Chiefs, luckily losing just 1 and throwing 1 interception.
Things in Denver are different this year. Broncos' OC Davis Webb has taken over as the team's offensive play caller and if this is a taste of what's to come; I wouldn't be surprised to see Sean Payton take back the reigns.
The Broncos need to bounce back this week, issue is the team that they face isn't going to just roll over.

The Jaguars offense is potent, we've seen that on full display. Head Coach Liam Coen has this team playing at a high level and while they did play the Cleveland Browns in Week 1, they looked nearly unstoppable on the field.
Trevor Lawrence threw the ball just 23 times, finished the game with a 78% completion rate, 245 passing yards and 4 touchdown passes. All 4 of his touchdown passes were to different receivers.
Parker Washington looked phenomenal in Week 1, catching 5 of his 6 targets for 83 yards and the team's first touchdown. Jakobi Meyers got into the endzone, Brenton Strange got a touchdown and even the rookie Josh Cameron got his first career touchdown. The offense was on fire.
Bhayshul Tuten looked like the clear RB1 for the Jags and that was only amplified by Coen's postgame comments. He loved what he saw from his young back and expects a heavy workload in his future.
Tuten ran for 66 yards, averaged 4.4 yards per carry and caught his only target for 22 yards. It didn't leap off the page but like I said, the Jags were pretty much in control of this game from beginning to end.

Liam Coen is one of the most creative offensive minds currently coaching in the NFL. He finds a way to involve every single one of his offensive weapons and after his comments on Tuten, I'm ready to invest.
Last year when the Jaguars traveled to Mile High for their matchup with the Broncos, the Jags handled business. Jacksonville won the game 34-20, Lawrence threw for 279 yards, 3 touchdowns and no interceptions.
Travis Etienne Jr. was Coen's RB1 last year and he finished the Broncos game with 50 yards on the ground (3.1 YPC), 5 targets, 4 receptions and just 16 receiving yards. With the amount of pressure the Broncos bring, the checkdown becomes vital.
Last year we saw Etienne catch 4 balls for just 16 yards and a lot of it was Lawrence just avoiding the sack. Lawrence was still sacked 5 times in that game but the checkdown option helped mitigate what could've been even more damage.
This year it's Tuten in that role and while we haven't exactly seen him involved in the pass game; this week feels like the perfect time. Kenneth Walker finished Week 1 with 6 targets, 3 receptions and 18 yards through the air.
Sometimes the best way to take advantage of an aggressive defense, is to let that very aggression be your advantage.
