Two teams who are looking for their 10th win of the season go head to head in Orlando tonight. The StaffDNA Cure Bowl takes place at Camping World Stadium this evening, as the Old Dominion Monarchs take on the South Florida Bulls. Both had very impressive seasons despite being doubted before things began, and now they can cap off the year with double digits in the win column. Who will pick themselves up and win this bowl game tonight? Let's find out with our favorite picks.

Old Dominion Monarchs vs. South Florida Bulls Cure Bowl Insights

Byrum Brown will sit out the Cure Bowl, and will not suit up for South Florida
Old Dominion was very impressive, losing only to Indiana, Marshall and James Madison this year, all on the road. They actually kept things within two touchdowns against the Hoosiers, and losing to two College Football Playoff teams is impressive enough. The Monarchs handled business otherwise. However, quarterback Colton Joseph is set to hit the transfer portal, and he will not be playing tonight. Instead, freshman Quinn Henicle will get the start for the Monarchs, and he fits in well with their run first system.
On the flip side, South Florida will also be missing their stud quarterback as well. Byrum Brown will not play, but will instead serve as an assistant on the sidelines, giving Gaston Moore the keys to the Bulls' offense. South Florida's head coach, Alex Golesh is headed to Auburn and taking Offensive Coordinator Joel Gordon with him. Neither will be with the team during bowl season, including multiple key members of the offensive staff.
Their defensive line coach will serve as the interim in this game, as Ohio State OC Brian Hartline will take over head coaching duties next season.

Without Byrum Brown, the Bulls' offense will be much worse than they were all season long. Plus, missing a ton of offensive staff doesn't give me much hope in them moving the ball with force. As for ODU, sure they are missing their QB as well, but Henicle is pretty much using this as a tryout for next season. He will want to perform well, and I think he can.

Old Dominion vs. South Florida Prediction: Old Dominion Wins Outright, Under 52.5
Best Bet: Old Dominion +3 (-113) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
I'm not going to get greedy here, and I'll take the underdog with the points. However, I do think they win outright, and had this line been under 2.5, I probably would've just taken them to win. Give me the Monarchs to take down the Big Bad Bulls tonight.
South Florida's rushing defense isn't all that great, and that's what ODU loves to do. The Monarchs run the ball over 61% of the time, ranking top 11 in the country. They do so very efficiently, ranking top 10 in yards per carry, running for 5.6 yards each time they touch the ball. Even though Henicle can't sling it like Joseph, the Monarchs are still top 15 in yards per pass this year. But the Bulls won't be able to stop them on the ground, and I see Old Dominion chewing up plenty of clock as they move the ball down the field meticulously.
Byrum Brown accounted for 42 of the team's 61 total offensive touchdowns this season. He led the team on the ground in all stats, with 175 carries for 1,008 yards and 14 touchdowns. The man produced over 95% of their passing offensive, as well as 37% of their rushing yards and carries, and nearly 50% of their rushing touchdowns. All of that production will be missed with him not on the field. Both quarterbacks tonight have combined for just 35 pass attempts this season, but I certainly trust the rest of the Monarch's offense to run more smoothly without their main guy under center.
