The Delaware Blue Hens are a long ways from home as they head to Mobile, Alabama to face the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns in the 68 Ventures Bowl. Both teams finished 6-6 this season in their respective conference, but one squad finished much stronger. Louisiana won their last four games in order to become bowl eligible, earning their spot in this contest tonight. Will they be able to tack on one more victory over the Blue Hens? Or can Delaware get the job done? Let's dive into our favorite picks.

Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns vs. Delaware Blue Hens 68 Ventures Bowl Insights

Will Jo Silver be available for the Delaware Blue Hens tonight?
Let's talk opt outs! For the Ragin' Cajuns, starting left tackle Bryant Williams has entered the transfer portal and opted out of tonight's bowl game, hurting their offensive line as a whole. Even though quarterback Lunch Winfield was knocked out of the season finale for a bit, he did return at some point, and should be good to go tonight. Especially considering he's had over two weeks of rest and recovery to get ready. Louisiana also has free safety Tyree Skipper back in the mix, after being reinstated for this bowl game.
For the Blue Hens, running back Jo Silver returned for their last game but did not play much. Admittedly, he was efficient, going for seven carries for 64 yards and a touchdown, along with two catches for 20 yards through the air. If he is healthy, he will certainly help their offense.

Spread
- Louisiana -1 (-105)
- Delaware +1 (-116)
Moneyline
- Louisiana -111
- Delaware -109
Total
- Over 60.5 (-110)
- Under 60.5 (-110)
Neither team is all that great. I'll show you with the numbers. Keep in mind, there are 136 total FBS teams.
Louisiana ranks No. 69 in points scored, while soaring to No. 108 in points allowed. In terms of yards gained and allowed, they are No. 92 on offense, and guess what, No. 116 defensively. The Blue Hens offense is a little more ferocious, but they are No. 67 in both points and yards per play, while their defense is bottom 15 in scoring and bottom 25 in yards allowed.
Again, neither team is all that great, but I think we can exploit a Blue Hens weakness with this player prop.
Louisiana vs. Delaware 68 Ventures Bowl Bowl Picks and Predictions

Winfield has over 600 rushing yards this year in a very split backfield
Louisiana vs. Delaware Prediction: Louisiana Wins Outright, Over 60.5
Best Bet: Lunch Winfield (LA) Over 54.5 Rushing Yards (-114) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
We are backing this mobile quarterback to do what he does best, run the football. He is second on the team in carries, and third in rushing yards in a VERY rush heavy offense. Winfield has 627 yards on the ground this season, leading the team in rushing touchdowns with nine. The two running backs above him only have 743 and 664 yards on the year, showing it is an extremely split backfield.
But the quarterback will always get his touches.
He's cleared this line in just four games this season, going for 89, 98, 129, and 139 in those games. Winfield has been short of this line by 10 yards or less on two other occasions, but he gets plenty of carries. So far this season, Winfield averages 52.3 yards per game on 11.5 carries, but he's had at least 13 carries in seven of his last eight down the stretch. The Ragin' Cajuns run the ball nearly 59% of the time for over 4.5 yards per attempt, while the Blue Hens defense is bottom 40 in yards per rush allowed, letting foes go for 4.7 every time they touch the ball.
It's a perfect recipe for this quarterback to lead his team to victory with his legs.
