Bowl season is here, and while some will argue these games do not matter, I would disagree. It means something to someone, and that someone is a guy named Colby Marchio, writer for Betting News, who wants some action Jackson on the Myrtle Beach Bowl game. The Kennesaw State Owls are coming off their first conference win and are looking to keep the milestones rolling by potentially securing their first FBS bowl victory. The Western Michigan Broncos enter this matchup fresh off a MAC Championship and are looking to end their season on a high note. Where are we going in this matchup? I have a prop.

As much as I love taking sides in college football, I am going the player prop route in this matchup. This should be an extremely heavy ground attack game, so be sure to inform your fathers and uncles that there will be pure man ball at 11:00 AM Eastern on Friday morning. I am taking the Broncos leading rusher, quarterback Broc Lowry, over 82.5 rushing yards.
The sophomore quarterback has recorded at least 82 rushing yards in seven of their 13 games this season, averaging 72.3 yards per game. During conference play, that number jumped to 84.7 yards per game. Western Michigan has been a ground based offense all season long, running the ball nearly 65% of the time and averaging close to 44 attempts per game. As a team, they are averaging nearly 200 rushing yards per game.
Lowry now draws a matchup against a defense allowing 4.7 yards per carry, ranked 93rd nationally, and 183.8 rushing yards per game, ranking 106th. Opponents have also logged the 29th most rushing attempts against the Owls this season. This will be another massive game for Kennesaw State, but this feels like a potential letdown spot following an electrifying Conference USA Championship victory.
The Owls do generate pressure at a solid rate, ranking 41st in sack percentage. However, with most of Lowry's rushing attempts coming on designed runs, he should avoid negative plays near the line of scrimmage. Give me the sophomore to shine down in Myrtle.
