First Friday of the year and we've been blessed with a BEAUTIFUL looking NBA Slate. We've got 10 games on the docket and a ton of props I'm loving today, let's jump right into it.

For additional information on picks, props, money lines and more on today's slate, take a look at our NBA Picks Page or our NBA Odds Page, here.

Today's Best Bets

Matas Buzelis o21.5 P/R (-110) | Lucky Rebel

Matas Buzelis

The Bulls will once again be without both Coby White and Josh Giddey; so I'm looking right at the young Buzelis tonight. Matas Buzelis 1A basketball is something I'm all the way in on. Buzelis has played four career games with both Giddey/White out of the lineup and he's cleared this line in three of the four games.

Buzelis has 19+ points in three of the four games and has established himself as one of the Bulls' best scoring options. In the team's game against New Orleans, despite early foul trouble, Buzelis finished with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. He lead the team in usage, seeing a season high 30.6% usage rate and I'm expecting more of that again tonight.

The Magic aren't bad defensively this year, but they've definitely regressed. The team ranks 20th in opponent field goal percentage, 13th in points allowed and 22nd in opponent free throw rate. They rank 24th in points allowed off of fast breaks, 21st in points allowed in the paint and 24th in points allowed to the SF position.

Chicago's playing at a top five pace right now and even without both their top scorers in the lineup, they managed to score 134 points. If not for the foul trouble against the Pelicans, I'm confident it would have been Buzelis that finished as the game's top scorer.

Tonight just feels like a big Matas night.

Toumani Camara o2.5 3s (-110) | Lucky Rebel

Toumani Camara

If the Pelicans are playing basketball, I'm looking for a way to fade that perimeter defense. The Pelicans rank 29th in 3s allowed, 30th in opponent wide open 3-point attempts, but 11th in opponent 3-point percentage. The team's just giving up so many open looks from the perimeter, that team's are shooting significantly more 3s against them.

The Pelican's rank dead last in opponent 3-point attempts, with opponents taking an average of 41.8 3s a game.

Toumani Camara's been one of the Blazers' best 3-point shooters and it's why almost 70% of his total shot volume comes from outside. Camara's averaging 7.1 3-point attempts per game this year and shooting 34.6%. In the month of December, those numbers rose to 7.4 attempts per game and 37.9% from beyond the arc.

The Pelicans and Blazers have met twice this year, Camara's cleared this line in both games; shooting a combined 6/14 from three. Look for him to have a similar type impact tonight.

Dyson Daniels o11.5 A/R (-120) | Lucky Rebel

Dyson Daniels

Dyson Daniels is having quite the year and I couldn't be happier. He's averaging 11.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game. He's shooting 49.0% from the field but his 3-point shooting has been abysmal at 12.7%.

Outside of the bad perimeter shooting, Daniels has been great on both sides of the ball. He's rebounding the ball very well and he's been a menace on the offensive glass. Daniels iis averaging 2.3 offensive rebounds per game and thats jumped to 2.7 over the team's last 10 games.

In games without Trae Young, Daniels is averaging 12.8 points, 6.7 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game. He's not the team's primary ball handler because Jalen Johnson's been so good, but Daniels loves running the break and it's his defense that often directly leads to offense for the Hawks.

New York's perimeter defense has given them issues all year and that's why I'm loving this prop even more. The Knicks rank 27th in opponent 3s allowed and 21st in opponent 3-point percentage. Daniels hasn't been good out there but if the Hawks can hit some 3s tonight I'm expecting significant boost to the assist opportunities.

Lastly, Daniels has cleared this line in four of his last five games and finished with 17 combined assists/rebounds in his one game against the Knicks this year.

Kon Knueppel o17.5 Points (-114) | Lucky Rebel

kon knueppel

Purely narrative driven. Knueppel's back in his hometown of Milwaukee and he's playing the team he grew up watching. He's played the Bucks twice already this year, averaging 24.0 points per game and shooting 51.5% from the field.

Knueppel scored 32 points on 60% the last time they were in Milwaukee and tonight feels no different. Milwaukee ranks 28th in points allowed to opposing SGs, 27th in opponent free throw rate, 19th in 3s allowed and dead last in 3s allowed to the SG position.

Knueppel missed the team's last game against Milwaukee and we saw Brandon Miller score a season high 31 points. Kon's back in the lineup and I think the kid goes crazy in front of the hometown crowd.
