The Dodgers have the luxury of facing Rockies starter Antonio Senzatela, who is coming off his worst outing of the season—eight runs allowed against the Brewers. He was due for a bad game. The 30-year-old right-hander had a zero ERA going in, but his WHIP was over two. That was never going to hold. I believe the struggles continue tonight against the Dodgers.
Los Angeles' lineup features three elite-rated hitters, four who exceed the league's ground ball rate, and not a single hitter rated poor or above the league strikeout rate. The Dodgers own the highest-rated offense on the slate.
Despite recent scoring issues in the first five innings, tonight looks like a prime opportunity to bounce back against a vulnerable arm. The Dodgers have averaged under three runs in the first five this season. That should change tonight. Senzatela gives up 41% hard contact and carries a 2.14 WHIP.
