That is right, we are all over the home runs leader tonight. Cal Raleigh enters the day with the only elite rating in this matchup. In 67 elite-rated games, the Mariners catcher records a hit 59% of the time, goes over this prop 40% of the time, and hits a home run 26% of the time. Not the strongest trends, but he is seeing the ball extremely well right now and has been crushing left-handed pitching. In 71 at-bats against lefties, he owns a .296 average, .676 slugging, and a 1.018 OPS.
Tonight, he faces Orioles starter Cade Povich, who carries a poor rating on Batters-Box, along with a poor matchup wOBA, ISO, and ground ball percentage. Through 10 starts, the 25-year-old owns a 5.29 ERA and 1.53 WHIP, while allowing 5.8 hits and 1.9 extra-base hits per start.
Only one of his five pitches grades positively in value, his changeup. Against changeups this season, Raleigh holds a .227 xBA, .406 xSLG, and .300 xwOBA, per Baseball Savant.
