NL Cy Young: As the season unfolds, there are always a few under-the-radar players who grab my attention, and Michael King is one. With a strong start to the year and impressive numbers, he could be poised for a breakout. While the odds may not favor him, King's potential makes this risk worth taking.

I have been eyeing this prop for a few weeks now, and I believe it is officially time to pull the trigger on Michael King to win the NL Cy Young award. Yes, it is a bit of a "longshot," with him sitting at 18/1 to win the award, while players like Paul Skenes, Hunter Greene, and Logan Webb are at the top of the odds.
However, King has looked quite solid through the first month of the season, sporting a 3-1 record along with a 2.18 ERA and 1.06 WHIP. He has accumulated 40 strikeouts, ranking 12th in the league. Additionally, he has a .263 BABIP, 0.82 HR/9, and 10.91 K/9.
The 29-year-old right-hander has recorded four games this season with seven or more strikeouts. He has also had three games where he allowed one or fewer runs.
The season is still very early, but King seems like an under-the-radar player at the moment. His stuff has looked diabolical at times. Perhaps I am just over-obsessing over King, but I would kick myself all winter long if he were to go on a major tear and become the front-runner.
Price-wise, nobody in the top five truly stands out to make me rush to the counter to bet on this award. However, King at 18/1 seems worthy of a quarter-unit sprinkle.
