The weekend is finally here, and Fridays are always filled with a ton of MLB games. Today is a special one; your favorite player's favorite pitcher to face is most likely on the bump today. Let's get into these props and start the weekend on a great note.
Here are my favorite plays of the day.

The Stank:
Entering this game, Austin Riley has the second-best matchup rating on Batters-Box.com, behind only Matt Olson. However, I think Riley is the one to attack in this matchup.

Riley is going up against Diamondbacks starter Tommy Henry, who, a season ago, only had two pitches above league average. His fastball and changeup were his worst pitches a year ago. Austin Riley was on top of Henry's pitches a season ago. He batted .262, with a .850 OPS and wRC+ of 135 against fastballs. Here is where we start to drool; against changeups, he batted .339, with an OPS of .984 and a wRC+ of 174 in 2023.
In Atlanta, the wind is blowing out to the left-center at about 10 MPH. Hopefully, Riley can benefit from the wind.

Both Chas McCormick and Adolis Garcia, hitters, enter today's game with top-10 matchup ratings on Batters-Box.com. This slate is filled with below-average pitchers, presenting a golden opportunity for these hitters to shine and for you to possibly cash some wagers.
Chas McCormick takes on Rangers starter, Cody Bradford, who is coming off a win against the Cubs. Going five innings pitched, allowing three hits and two earned runs. Despite the great outing vs the Cubs last week. I do not think he will have that much success tonight against the Astros.

Bradford is very reliant on his fastball, as 50% of his pitches are fastballs. None of his pitches a year ago are worth bragging about. McCormick has always had success against fastballs, as he should. As for the other pitches, he does well enough for me to like him to get a hit. McCormick is batting .333 with an OPS of .845 this season. He has a hit in every game but one. I love Chas.
On the other hand, Adolis Garcia takes on Astros starter, Hunter Brown. Like Bradford, Brown is heavy on his fastball as well. Garcia lights up every pitch in his repertoire, especially curveballs and cutters. On the season, Garcia is batting .240, with three home runs and six RBIs.
With just two well-placed hits, we could be looking at a successful Friday. The potential for a rewarding outcome is high, so let's stay optimistic and enjoy the game.
