The Stank:
Nothing better than A Friday night in Kansas City, maybe other than taking advantage of Cardinals starting pitcher, Miles Mikolas as he takes on the Royals in Kansas City.
I love the Royals today. They enter today with four elite rated hitters, according to Batters-Box.com. Along with zero poor rated hitters and zero hitters above the league strikeout rate. Their bats have been pretty consistent as of late, batting a cool crisp .277 with an .818 OPS. In their last three games they have averaged 4.0 runs in the first five innings. At home this season they are averaging 2.69 runs.
As mentioned, the St. Louis Cardinals starter has one of the worst pitching matchups on the slate. He has the worst average hitter matchup strikeout rate on the day. The 35-year old right hander has been struggling, posting a 5.12 ERA and a 1.27 WHIP. He has allowed teams to surpass 2.5 runs in 13 of his 23 outings this season.
Hopefully, the Royals bats come alive early and often against Mikolas and continue the hot streak they have had all week long.

The Stank:
At Fenway Park, the Boston Red Sox host the Houston Astros, with Ronel Blanco pitching for Houston. Despite a strong season record, Blanco struggles with hard contact and a low ground ball rate, according to advanced stats from Batters-Box.com.
The Red Sox lineup is formidable, featuring three elite hitters in default ratings and four in current season ratings. Boston ranks in the top five for first five innings scoring, averaging 2.91 runs, and performs even better at home, averaging 3.13 runs. Over their last ten games, they're batting .300 with an OPS of .896.
Let's hope their hot streak continues early to cash in on this first five bet!
