After a sweep of the Texas Rangers, the Minnesota Twins conitue their 6 game road trip and they visit the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Twins have won 4 in a row and have a record of 36-40, sitting in 3rd place in the AL Central and 1.5 games out of the final AL wild card spot.
Arizona is coming off an 8-1 win against the Los Angeles Angels at home on Wednesday as they won 2 of 3 in that series. Arizona has a record of 38-36 on the season, good enough for 3rd in the NL West and. they sit .5 game out of the final NL Wild Card Spot.

The Arizona Diamondbacks begin a 3 game home series with the Minnesota Twins tonight and they begin the series with a fantastic matchup. Minnesota will turn to Left handed pitcher Connor Prielipp, who has had a very tough season thus far. The Rookie southpaw sports a record of 2-4 with a 5.26 ERA/1.35 WHIP. On the road he is even worse where he owns a 7.27 ERA and a 1.79 WHIP and has a batting average against of .324.
Arizona smokes Left handed pitching, especially at home. At Chase Field the D-Backs average 5.9 runs/9 vs Lefties. Given these splits, I love Carroll to do some damage tonight.
