Yesterday we had some success backing two AL Central teams to score plenty of runs, tonight we are attacking the NL Central. At Wrigley Field, the Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs go at it for the second game of three in this series. Although it's only the second meeting, both will be plenty familiar with each other as they battle for the division this season. We've got two absolute studs on the mound, so let's get into our favorite MLB picks for tonight in the Windy City.

We have the two best teams in the NL Central going at it. The Cubs lead the Brewers by just half a game, but tonight could flip that script. In fact, the Brewers actually took last night's contest by a score of 9-3, bouncing back after failing to sweep the Twins. The Cardinals are right behind both teams as well, so wins are crucial, especially in the division. Chicago has now dropped three straight overall, allowing 8.67 runs per game during that stretch. Can they figure it out tonight?
It'll be tough, because Jacob Misiorowski is on the mound for the Brewers, and we know this KC Native can throw fire. He's plenty familiar with the Cubbies, pitching against them four times last year, but can he shove in their first meeting of 2026?

Brewers vs. Cubs Prediction: Milwaukee Wins and Covers, Under 7.5

A world where I fade Misiorowski does not exist at the moment. This kid is throwing triple digits and has not allowed a single run in his last three starts. Groove = Found. He's already top 10 in the MLB with his 2.12 ERA (which is 0.00 over his last 18.1 innings), and fourth in the league in WHIP at 0.90. Over his last three starts, in 18.1 innings, he has zero earned runs, six hits and four walks with 29 strikeouts. For all you stat lovers out there, that's a 0.00 ERA (duh), a 0.55 WHIP, and 1.60 Ks per inning. Insanity.
Plus, he's facing this Cubs team when they are not doing well. Sure they hit .246 overall and .261 at home. But over the last two weeks they rank No. 26 in the MLB in batting average, hitting just .208 as a team. They'd have enough trouble facing Misiorowski in general, but when they're slumping? I don't think they stand a chance.
Over the same two weeks, Milwaukee is second in the MLB in batting average, hitting .265 and rank fifth with a .330 wOBA. It makes sense that they are 9-2 in their last 11 games. Look for them to stay hot and secure another win in this series at Wrigley.
