Tomorrow on March 1st for the first time ever The Actors Awards presented by SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild–American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) will appear on Netflix's streaming platform exclusively! Let's take a look at some of the prop bets and odds for the prestigious awards show. What happens on Sunday likely indicates and changes the odds for the 98th Academy Awards better known as simply The Oscars.

The Actor Awards 2026 Live on Netflix

The Actor Awards are presented by the union SAG-AFTRA. They are also known as the Actor Awards and were formerly referred to as the Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG Awards). Now, they will simply be called the Actor Awards with their new home on the world's largest streaming platform.

Oscars Odds Update

The Actor Awards will serve as a litmus test going into the Oscars, as do most major awards shows. Timothee Chalamet was once the heavy favourite but things have begun to change. As of writing, the 'Marty Supreme' star is still the odds on favourite but doubt has been creeping in as praise for 'Sinners' resurfaces and Leo's performance gains praise with hindsight. Personally, I don't think it's a mistake to place a small wager on Leonardo DiCaprio (+700).

Last year, Chalamet was the youngest actor to ever win for lead in a motion picture. However, his acceptance speech was heavily criticized. He's (-250) to win the Oscar & (-225) for the Actor Awards. If you think he wins then take both props now because odds will plummet if Chalamet is triumphant Sunday night.

HBO's newest hit is 'The Pitt' and the medical drama is having praise heaped upon it during its second season. Each character is nuanced, but has plenty of time to show off the acting chops in this high stress drama.

After impressing the world with her turn in 'Better Caul Saul,' Seahorn re-teamed with Vince Gilligan, and the result was Apple's Pluribus. A slow burning mystery with world ending stakes. I am a big fan of the show, however I am surprised she is such a heavy favourite. The performance was excellent but very restrained. Therefore, it would not surprise me if the three with tied odds surprised everyone. Posey, Russell, and Lou Wood were equally as impressive in their Drama Series.

Female Actor in a Comedy Series

• Catherine O'Hara, The Studio (-275)
• Jean Smart, Hacks (+160)

• Jenna Ortega, Wednesday (+10000)

Catherine O'Hara (Schitt's Creek, Home Alone) is a screen legend and this award is likely hers. She was fantastic in 'The Studio.' Moreover, she recently passed away and it felt sudden within the industry. She was amidst a late career resurgence. The posthumous win would also serve as a career lifetime achievement award of sorts.

Female Actor Leading Role

• Jessie Buckley, Hamnet (-500)
• Rose Byrne, If I Had Legs I'd Kick You (+265)
• Kate Hudson, Song Sung Blue (+4000)
• Emma Stone, Bugonia (+8000)

Chase was 25-years-old playing a high school aged girl. Her performance was good but that weird quirk has hurt her in the press. The others in the field had fine performances but the poignancy of one performance has clearly risen to the top. That is Buckley in 'Hamnet.' Do not watch this movie if you have children you love.

Jessie Buckley is putting out incredible performance after incredible performance without the braggadocio of Chalamet while also being young, talented, and an industry darling.

Female Actor TV Movie

• Erin Doherty, Adolescence (-1500)
• Sarah Snook, All Her Fault (+550)
• Michelle Williams, Dying For Sex (+700)
• Claire Danes, The Beast In Me (+4000)
• Christine Tremarco, Adolescence (+8000)

I have not seen any of these TV movies but based on the odds for Erin Doherty (The Crown) this must be a can't miss performance.

Female Supporting Role

• Wunmi Mosaku, Sinners (+550)
• Odessa A'zion, Marty Supreme (+5000)
• Ariana Grande, Wicked: For Good (+6000)

I was not one of those people disappointed in Zach Cregger's 'Weapons.' The man is on a heater and the marketing for the film was sublime but long. This meant opinions would end up divided no matter the actual quality of the film. Amy Madigan was mesmerizing in limited screen time and there are rumours of a prequel surrounding her witchy character.

However, it should be noted that Wunmi Mosaku won the Best Supporting Actress BAFTA in 2026 for her role as Annie in 'Sinners.'

Also, by the way, Ariana ain't winning this.

Male Actor Comedy Series

The industry loves itself and it loves Seth Rogen. Makes sense.

Again, HBO's 'The Pitt' is about to become even more of a juggernaut than it already is. Wyle is an enamouring talent, the writing is excellent, the editing is tight, and the show is getting attention from critics and audiences alike. Dr. Michael 'Robby' Robinavitch is a character that is about the enter the lexicon of unforgettable characters for the Home Box Office network. Stringer Bell, Tony Soprano & Dr. Robby.

Also, if you haven't seen Walton Goggins scene with Sam Rockwell in 'The White Lotus' then seek it out.

Male Actor TV Movie

• Charlie Hunnam, Monster: The Ed Gein Story (+1400)

The field has been expanded to include limited series and not just TV movies. Owen Cooper has this one sewn up. 'Adolescence' is probably a tough but necessary watch. Especially if you have any young men in your life you fear have succumb to the dreaded "MANOSPHERE."

Male Actor Supporting Role

• Sean Penn, One Battle After Another (-140)
• Benicio del Toro, One Battle After Another (+300)
• Jacob Elordi, Frankenstein (+450)
• Miles Caton, Sinners (+500)
• Paul Mescal, Hamnet (+5000)

Sean Penn has been lauded for this accolade since the film's premier. His performance was hate-fuelled cinematic villainy that audiences and critics praised. This line feels short considering all that has lead up to this. We could possibly see a major upset from Benicio because del Toro's turn as a sensei as bumbling as DiCaprio's Bob was a delight.

Here we are. The award we have all been waiting for.

I'm telling you put a cup of coffee on DiCaprio and a unit on Michael B. Jordan. DiCaprio is a screen legend and finally won an Oscar we could see him go on an awards run like we have never see the likes of. Jordan played twins in the most Oscar nominated film of all time. Chalamet is young and has plenty of awards. I think something weird happens on Oscar night and we will get an indication of if that is true during the Actor Awards.
