Ladies and Gentleman WE ARE BACK! After what has felt like forever we are back with the F1 grid and this weekend we are heading to the land of windmills and tulip fields. The Dutch Grand Prix!
Zandvoort is a long standing race on the Formula One calendar and to me it one of the most fun. Crowds of orange shirts, orange smoke flying through the air, and the crowd roaring as the cars go by. Truly one of the specticals of the sport.
Unfortanately though this is the last year the Dutch Grand Prix will be on the calendar as it was not renewed past this season and has been replaced by the Portugal Grand Prix going forward. But that just makes this race that much more in important as everyone is bidding at the chance to be the last winner at this historic race.

Dutch Grand Prix Race Breakdown and Analysis

Zandvoort is an old school style formula one track. A narrow and fast track drivers will reach over 330 KM/H (200 MPH), but just because it is fast does not mean there will be a ton of overtaking. Due to the narrowness of the track it makes it extremely difficult to overtake, with the best opportunity being at turn one.
Other factors that make this track difficult are the large banking corners it has where drivers will be at slopes of 18 to 20 degrees. That on top of the strong coastal winds near the track make down force a key factor in to every teams strategy.
To win at Zandvoort you must qualify well, with difficulty of overtaking your track position is key if you are looking to win here. You also must have a flawless race strategy, choosing optimal times to pit and undercut opponents is almost as important as the driving itself. Zandvoort is truly a track where it is almost 50 percent skill and 50 percent brains when you are trying to win.
Free Practice, Sprint, & Qualifying Breakdown
In free practice one we saw the usual suspects top the board with Kimi Antonellu topping the ladder in the first session followed by Lando Norris and George Russel in that order behind him. In the sprint shootout we saw Antonelli slip a bit falling to fifth on the grid as his Mercedes teammate George Russell took first. Norris, Piastri, and Leclerc were in between them in order.
In the sprint race itself we did not see too much movement as Russell took first bringing in some much valuable points to his championship title race bid. Antonelli was able to pass and move up into fourth. Lando and Leclerc also switched places at second and third.
Qualifying was much of the usual but at the same it was not. We had both Mercedes cars place in the top three but neither took first. That was taken by McLaren driver Lando Norris. We also had some impressive performances by Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda who managed to qualify 11th and 12th just barely missing out on top 10 qualification.

Dutch Grand Prix Predictions & Best Bets
Race Winnner: Kimi Antonelli +250 / Antonelli Top 2 -120 on Lucky Rebel

The leader of the championship Antonelli has had a good weekend so far. I think he is poised to overtake his teammate Russell who has been slipping up on numerous occasions at crucial points this season. After he gets passed Russell I believe the Mercedes car has the pace to eventually pass the McLaren as well or at the very least second.
Winning Car: Mercedes -125 on Lucky Rebel
To piggy back off me thinking Kimi will win the race, this is a great bet to also take as I believe the Mercedes car over the longhaul of a race will be able to pass the McLaren. Whether it be Russell ot Antonelli I really like for this bet to cash us out.
Both Safety Car & Virtual Safety Car +120 on Lucky Rebel

With the large banking corners and high degree of difficulty they pose for drivers, along with the narrowness of the track both conditions make racing very difficult. That on top of of the sometimes chaotic weather we can have at Zandvoort can cause some mishaps to happen on the track causing both styles of safety cars to be deployed.
