Belgian Grand Prix Race Breakdown and Analysisspa racing

Spa is an insanely fast track; it rewards the brave but also punishes mistakes just as much. With a mix of long straights and fast sweeping corners, there are plenty of opportunities to overtake.

The elevation changes at Spa are also very unique. Imagine riding a roller coaster, but at over 275 km/h. The drivers will face roughly 230 ft worth of elevation changes over the course of 1 lap.

The keys to winning this race are to race fearlessly but with precision. Find the right balance of downforce so you don't fly off the track but also aren't slowed down. Tire management and race strategy are also key as one early or late pit may make or break a driver's race.

Free Practice & Qualifying Breakdown

In Free Practice 1 we saw Max Verstappen take 1st place and then 3rd in the second session. Lewis Hamilton looked particularly quick and confident as well.

As for our Championship leader, Kimi Antonelli he looked a step behind in Free Practice 1 but seemingly regained his pace and confidence placing 1st in the second session. His teammate and Championship challenger George Russell on the other hand looked quite a bit off the pace placing 8th in both sessions.

In Free Practice 3 we saw Antonelli continue his success placing 1st in the session followed by Norris and Verstappen. Russell found himself and the speed again coming out of the final session in 4th place.

Qualifying didn't have too much excitement as we saw a front row of Antonelli and Verstappen. Followed by Norris and Russell in the row behind them.

Belgian Grand Prix Predictions & Best Bets

Race Winner: Max Verrtappen +300 on Lucky Rebel

Max wins

Since Red Bull applied upgrades to his car for the Austrian Grand Prix, Max is seemingly much more confident and has shown it over the last two races. This weekend, he was consistently in the top three through all practice sessions and qualified second. With three career victories at Spa, he is no stranger to success at this race.

Pierre Gasly To Finish Top 10 +100 on Lucky Rebel

Pierre Gasly and the late Anthoine Hubert

Rest in Peace, Anthoine Hubert (September 19th, 1996-August 31st, 2019)

In eight career Belgian Grand Prix starts, Gasly has finished in the top 10 six times. But there is more to this race for Gasly, and I think it plays a huge part into why he always does so well.

In 2019 Gasly's best friend and fellow racer Anthoine Hubert tragically lost his life in a crash during the Formula 2 feature race at Spa. Ever since then Gasly has done everything in his power to commemorate the legacy of his late friend, from an annual lap around the track to laying flowers at the very spot where he tragically crashed. This race means a lot to Gasly and rightfully so.

Total Classified Drivers Under 17.5 +165 on Lucky Rebel)

With the pure speed and chaos of Spa a crash is almost inevitable, and the wear and tear put on the cars is a lot to deal with as well. These combined factors seem to put us in a position to see quite a few DNFs (Did Not Finish) on the track tomorrow morning.
