Top Summer Transfers: EPL, La Liga and Others Prepare for New Faces for Upcoming Season

It was a very busy summer transfer window across the biggest European soccer leagues. So before the upcoming season, let's familiarize ourselves with who went where, and what kits some of the best players might be trying on for the first time this fall.

Biggest Summer Transfers
After 10 goals and six assists for Aston Villa las year, Morgan Rogers will wear Chelsea blue this upcoming season
EPL Transfers In
Jermey Jacquet (Rennes) and Victor Munoz (Osasuna) joined Liverpool, Johan Manzambi (Freiburg) joins Aston Villa and Geovany Quenda (Sporting CP) will play for Chelsea. Bazoumana Toure comes to Newcastle (Hoffenheim) and Mamadou Sangaré will be a Brentford Bee (Lens). Those are the new faces to pay attention to in the EPL. Plus, Piero Hincapié signed on long term with Arsenal, after being on loan with them last season. However, there were some major switches between EPL teams, so let's look at those. New team is listed, with their former squad in parentheses.

Vini Jr. might also be on the move away from Real Madrid and La Liga. Arsenal has emerged as a possible destination.

Per usual, Bayern Munich brought in some major players as they do every season. Johan Manzambi is one of the biggest transfers leaving the German league, as he is joining Aston Villa already mentioned above. But some long time players from Dortmund will no longer play in front of the Yellow Wall.

Aside from those already mentioned above, Manuel Akanji returns to Inter Milan from loan to Manchester City. But they also let plenty of other players go, like Denzel Dumfries. Donyell Malen has signed on full time with Roma after playing for them on a loan from Aston Villa last year.

Ligue 1 Transfers
Full disclosure, most notable Ligue 1 transfers have already been mentioned above. Paris Saint-Germain shipped off Kang-In Lee to La Liga and Gonçalo Ramos to Serie A. Matt Turner, the USMNT back up goal keeper will be with Lyon until the end of 2026, and Lois Openda joins him there, coming from Juventus.
