While everyone is hyped about College Football's return on Saturday, and rightfully so, there is tons of action on the pitch as well. Our soccer experts took a look at the EPL and MLS slates and found their favorite picks to share with you here. Soccer Expert Picks: Saturday's Predictions August 29
Coventry City vs. Hull City EPL Picks
Best Bet: Coventry City/Hull City Under 2.5 (-105) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
These two teams are very familiar with one another after playing in the Championship the past few years. Last season, we saw two scoreless draws between the two clubs, and the match prior was still a 1-1 battle, leaving the last three head to head matches under this total. Don't overthink it.
Coventry City got thrown into the fire by facing the defending EPL Champions on the road on Matchday 1. They played as well as they could've but now in their home opener, they face a team much more their caliber. On the flip side, Hull City is coming off a monumental upset over Manchester United to begin their new EPL campaign. Look for them to come back down to Earth in this match.
While I do side with the hosts to earn three points, I think it will be a very dull, low scoring match.
Prediction: Coventry City Wins 1-0 (+625)
Seattle Sounders vs. Chicago Fire MLS Picks

Best Bet: Chicago Fire Draw No Bet (-135) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
I will gladly pay this juice with the Fire on the road in this spot. Yes, playing the Sounders in Seattle is usually a tall task, but they are slipping while Chicago is thriving, and I'll lean into both team's current individual form. The Fire were knocked out of the Leagues Cup this week, so their full focus can be on domestic play. Last Saturday, they gave up an 85′ minute equalizer to the Red Bulls on the road, but thankfully we walked away with the push.
For that reason, we will take the draw no bet line. The Sounders have been awful. They are winless in four straight overall, and in their last nine MLS matches, posting an 0-1-8 record. This team is flailing, the Fire are burning bright, and I'll pay this juice for push potential to back them this weekend.
Prediction: Chicago Fire Wins 2-1 (+800)
Sporting KC vs. Vancouver Whitecaps MLS Picks
Brian White scored twice in last Saturday's win over FC Dallas. Can he add more in Kansas City this weekend?
Best Bet: Vancouver ML/Under 4.5 (+105) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
Even on the road, the Whitecaps are simply the stronger side here. Even with Andre Luiz and Owen Wolff making their probable debuts for the host club, it's going to take some time to gel. Neither of these guys provide an instant fix. Vancouver has recent wins over FC Dallas and Seattle, and typically they play well against bad teams, refusing to stoop down to their level.
The Whitecaps also already beat this Sporting KC side 3-0 in Canada earlier in the season. While I think the win on Saturday is a bit tougher, Vancouver can grind out a low scoring victory here.
Prediction: Vancouver Whitecaps Win 2-1 (+725)
