The weekend is rapidly approaching, and the NFL returns tonight for this week's edition of Thursday Night Football, featuring the Super Bowl defending Seattle Seahawks facing the Denver Broncos out at Mile High. However the college world is giving us three different matchups, all from unique conferences to wager on tonight. On the NCAA Football slate, we have East Carolina facing UAB in the American, Georgia Southern and Old Dominion tussling in the Sun Belt, and Texas State hosts Colorado State in the Pac-12. NCAA Football Expert Picks: Thursday's Best Bets – October 15
I only have one pick today, but I will give a lean in another matchup. Tonight we'll avoid the Sun Belt, as two 2-4 teams search for a conference win. However, let's get into what I'm eyeballing for tonight's card.
East Carolina Pirates vs. UAB Blazers NCAA Football Expert Picks
Emory Williams has stepped up as East Carolina's quarterback this year

Here I think the Pirates are simply the better team, but I'll hold off. East Carolina has now won three straight games after losing to Alabama and Appalachian State in their first two meetings. They are rolling with some momentum, scoring about 30 points per game while allowing less than two touchdowns.
The Blazers have not seen competition like the Pirates, therefore I think the more battle tested team (ECU) pulls off the win tonight. Playing Alabama early on will make the rest of your conference feel easy, and that's what I expect tonight in this one.
Colorado State Rams vs. Texas State Bobcats NCAA Football Expert Picks
Brad Jackson is throwing for about 242 yards per game this season. Can he find a few more completions to clear this number?

Before we get into this pick, let's talk transparency. Yesterday, I was able to book this bet for two units (#rare) at a different line and price. I was able to find Jackson for Over 249.5 passing yards for even money. If you tuned in to The Morning Spread every weekday at 11:00 a.m. eastern, you would've been able to get the same line as me.
At the current number, I would only suggest throwing one unit on this play, but let's talk about why I like it. Texas State has a very highflying offense. They score about 28 points per game, but rank top five in the nation in yards per game, and are top 12 in third down conversion rate. The offense will be on the field plenty, where they rank top 40 in passing yards per game and yards per pass.
The Bobcats are coming off a bye following an outright loss to San Diego State, where they out gained the Aztecs by over 300 total yards. Jackson will show out tonight to get his team a much needed win. He faces Colorado State, who currently has the statistically worst secondary in the nation. The Rams are dead last in yards per pass allowed, second worst in completion percentage allowed, and are bottom 15 in passing yards allowed per game.
Jackson has only cleared this line twice, but did have 244 on just 20 attempts against Incarnate Word. Against the worst FBS secondary at home, I see him hitting 300 easily.
