Happy Friday, everybody! We've got a five-game NBA slate on tap tonight, and I've got three prop bets across the board.
We're sitting at a 68–45 record, up +16.95 units. Let's see if we can build on that with our three NBA prop bets for Friday, December 19.

NBA Prop Bets for Friday, December 19

Devin Vassell Under 14.5 Points (-114)
Let's begin in Atlanta, where the Hawks host the Spurs in a 7:30 p.m. ET tipoff.
San Antonio enters at 19–7 and is a slight road favorite (-2.5) over the 15-13 Hawks, with the total sitting around 240.5. Rather than attacking the side or total, my focus for this game is in the prop market.
I'm backing Devin Vassell under 14.5 points (-114).
When looking at Vassell's shot chart, 52% of his attempts come from beyond the perimeter, while another 38% are taken from the mid-range. Atlanta's defense is fairly average overall, but it performs better in two specific areas that happen to align with where Vassell does most of his damage.
The Hawks allow the fifth-fewest mid-range shot attempts (26.8%) and hold opponents to just 41.2% shooting from that area, which ranks seventh in the Association. From three-point range, they sit 14th in opponent shot rate (38.1%) and 13th in opponent three-point percentage allowed (36.1%).
Vassell scored 15 points in his only previous meeting with the Hawks this season, which came back on November 20. He shot 54.5% from the floor and knocked down three of his five attempts from beyond the arc. Even with that efficiency, he only barely cleared this number.
I'd be shocked if he shoots that efficiently this time around. Look for Vassell to struggle a bit on the offensive front and remain below 14.5 points in this contest.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 10.5 Rebounds + Assists (+100)
Let's move to the marquee matchup of the night: the Minnesota Timberwolves taking on the Oklahoma City Thunder.
I've got two props in this game, starting with the lone over I'm playing. I'm backing Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to go over 10.5 rebounds plus assists.
On the season, SGA is averaging 6.4 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game. He's cleared this number in 15 of 26 games (58%), and in his most recent matchup against Minnesota on November 26, he finished with six rebounds and six assists.
If we zoom out to a larger sample – the five-game Western Conference Finals series between these teams last spring – Gilgeous-Alexander averaged 8.2 rebounds and 5.2 assists, clearing this mark in four of the five games.
Obviously, things have changed since that playoff series, but it still provides a solid sample to work from.
Additionally, SGA leads the team in potential assists at 12.9 per game, and with the Thunder boasting the best defense in the NBA, we should see a higher volume of missed shots from Minnesota, which in turn creates more rebounding opportunities for Gilgeous-Alexander.
Chet Holmgren Under 16.5 Points (-108)
Our final prop brings us back to the land of the unders, as I'm backing OKC big man Chet Holmgren under 16.5 points.
At first glance, this may seem counterintuitive. Holmgren is averaging just under 19 points per game this season and posted an 18-point average against Minnesota during last year's playoff series. So why target the under on a number that sits below both of those marks?
The answer lies in the matchup. In their first meeting this season, Holmgren was held to just 12 points on 33.3% shooting. Minnesota's defense remains rock solid, ranking fifth in effective field-goal percentage allowed and eighth in points per 100 possessions.
The Timberwolves also rank third in opponent field-goal percentage allowed at the rim (63.5%) and from three-point range (35.5%).
Minnesota enters this matchup with an extra day of rest and a relatively solid understanding of how to defend Oklahoma City, given how often they've played one another. If they can come close to replicating their approach from the last meeting, Holmgren should once again be limited on the offensive end.
Best Bets:
- Devin Vassell Under 14.5 Points (-114)
- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 10.5 Rebounds + Assists (+100)
- Chet Holmgren Under 16.5 Points (-108)
NBA Record: 68-45 (+16.95 units)
